Buffett dinner
Reviewed 2 days ago

We had the buffet dinner and really enjoyed it. Staff were all very friendly helpful helpful. Everything we tasted was of a high standard and the food was hot. There was a good variety of different foods too, from meats, asian, cheeses and salads. A very wide range of deserts of high quality too.

Decent Hotel About 5 min walk to the Surfers Paradise Beach

Stay in this hotel for 3 nights in this hotel from 13 June 2018 to 15 June 2018. Decent hotel with good breakfast spread as compared to most of the Europe hotel breakfast. Do note that it is advisable for you to get your mineral water bottle before you check-in as the in-room mineral water supply is chargeable at two bottles for AUD8. The wifi is free and network speed wise is great. Also bring your own sandals as it is also chargeable for using the in-room sandal when you are going to the beach. If you are looking for some cool restaurant by the beach to chill out, do go for SandBar restaurant which is within walking distance from this hotel. I personally love the king prawn with rice topped with sweet and sour sauce (similar to Thai chilli sauce but definitely not spicy). You will love it and the portion is huge for a big eater like me. For lady, suggest sharing on it. Go on Friday after 12 noon till their closing hours and you get to enjoy 50% discount on all food order (but not for drink). Price wise is affordable and I would rate it as value for money.

Another great QT hotel!!

We stayed with our two daughters (7 and 10) for 5 nights at the end of April (with a Luxury Escapes package) and loved every bit of it.

We’ve stayed at the Sydney QT as a couple a number of times and knew this one had a different theme, but we received the same high level of service and quality food and drinks as we were expecting.

We were checked in promptly and all of the facilities explained.

We went up to our room, which was the second from the top floor overlooking the ocean. It had two queen beds (which are just as comfy as the Sydney ones) and was big enough to comfortably fit the four of us.
It had all of the usual QT inclusions, robes, slippers, and rather than the espresso martini, homemade lemonade (which was also on offer in the foyer for guests, delicious!)

Whilst the weather wasn’t fantastic, we still managed to spend some time by the pool, and have a drink in the garden outside.

We didn’t make it to the Japanese restaurant onsite, but did have dinner in Bazaar in our first night, and almost had the be rolled out. We were greeted on arrival and taken through the buffet (although it’s so much more than that). Our daughter has a peanut allergy, so each chef explained their dish and ensured our daughter wasn’t at risk. The pastry chef, responsible for the most amazing dessert bar we’ve ever seen, also took us through each dessert, again flagging the at risk items for our daughter.

Breakfast each day was also in Bazaar and again, was so much more than you could ever consider - as at dinner there were various hot and cold options from across the globe.

We also had a number of lunches in the cafe in the lobby, the tacos are amazing!!

And finally the day spa, my husband and I both had a massage and were so glad we did. So relaxing, and just what we need after a few busy days on the Gold Coast.

It’s another great QT, yes it’s an old building, but they’ve done an amazing job in making it their own, and in giving it the personality and quirk you expect from their hotels, coupled with high quality service from everyone you meet

Great Views

Had great views from our room and balcony. Room was quite large and very clean. The buffet breakfast is excellent. It’s about a two minute walk into the heart of Surfers or there is a Light Rail station either side of the hotel. Staff are very helpful also.

Cool vibe for business or pleasure

QT on Gold Coast is a great hotel for business or pleasure
I've been staying here on business for several weeks and the rooms are always clean and the staff friendly.
Great breakfast range
An improvement i can see is that if you book directly with hotel (i.e. when leaving, wanting to book next stay) you don't get any 'Priority Guest Rewards' or status credits - you have to book over the web (a pain)
