How to Get There
Pro's: Close to G link train station. Bed was comfortable, views were terrific & shower was nice pressure. Fast elevators when working.
Con's: Bed was actually 2 beds pushed together; Felt like I was constantly being sold to as there were items hanging in entry way that you could buy, bottled water on bedside table, mini bar in entry way across from bathroom. Might have been the room I was in but no fridge or other kitchen style utilities. Separate elevator to get from Carpark to ground floor and signage not very clear to find this elevator. 1 out of 4 elevators was not working which is OK but the other 3 seemed to take a while after pushing button. Not free parking like some others.
Traveling for business and stayed at the QT. Great theme - very funky hotel. Outstanding service. The view and location were fantastic. They offered an upgrade which was well worth taking to be on the beach side with a balcony. Staff really friendly and helpful. Lots of cool items in the room. Room was clean and tidy. Bed a little soft but good to have a Nespresso machine for the morning
In a nut shell, Ok but the room AC was not working and wold not allow me to reset the temp or change the mode. It was freezing so was the board room where i attended a seminar. Everyone else was complaining, but no action was taken to make us feel comfortable. Its winter not summer! I understand that the AC may be best set to a specific temperature but all my colleagues agreed and we even had our hoodies over our heads. I even froze at night and turned the AC off. Unfortunately there wasn't even a kettle to make a hot cuppa to warm up. Not good enough!
We really enjoyed our stay at QT, myself, hubby and 2 small children. Staff super friendly, room very spacious, fun decor. Bazaar restaurant was fabulous. Very welcoming and accommodating of our young family. Buffet breakfast was super high quality too, most impressive. Not so impressed with the quality of room service food. Hubby steak was excellent, but the Morteon bay bug pasta very dry, and smashed avo breakfast in particular very poor. We should have just stuck with the awesome buffet breaky! If you are travelling with kids, the bath will take ages to fill just as a heads up. Very happy to recommend this hotel though.
We booked a room on a Saturday night quite last minute and got an excellent deal as it was off peak. At check in we were offered a room on the top floor (but with no balcony) which we gratefully accepted. The room was lovely and spacious and very importantly, the double glazed windows were excellent and kept out any noise.
Parking was $15 but you could enter and exit as many times as you liked and they cleverly had a key drop box at the carpark exit.
We had an issue with our TV (it wouldnt work at all) but we called down to reception and within 15 mins someone came in and fixed it for us. It seems to be a common issue with the system they use but not a dealbreaker.
We recently stayed next door at the Ruby Collection and it made me realise how good the QT actually was. If I see a great deal again at QT I'll be booking it!
