Never again!

What a debacle! Turned up to find out that the pool was under construction. Wasn’t told on booking or check in. Just saw the signs. Room was tired and dirty. Housekeeping was a joke. Towels not replaced. Nothing cleaned. Although they did make a nice bed. Pity the doona cover was stained. Bed too soft. Telephones didn’t work. When ringing reception via my mobile (first time I tried the phone rang out) I was told “oh yes there is an issue and has been for s couple of days!” So why not tell us on check in! Surely that is a safety issue! And they had no idea when it would be fixed. Buffet was nice but service was nonexistent. Had to go looking for our waitress and our wine order, to find her giggling with the bartender. Had to put our plates on another table when finished! Ended up laughing with the couple next to us because it was so bad it was funny. And then to top it off. Mini bar was not restocked for the ENTIRE time we were there. Even after numerous complaints to reception. All via my mobile phone. Because the PHONES WERE STILL NOT WORKING!! We have stayed at QT in Sydney and Melbourne. Both amazing! Seriously is this really a QT hotel - looks and feels like a imposter to me. Will not be back. And will let everyone know why.

Adore this quirky hotel, and have been going for years now whenever i go to the GC. The staff are so friendly and helpful and this hasn’t lessened over the years. I have stayed in the mountain view rooms and the beach side view rooms and both offer gorgeous views which are a joy. Stingrays is a great, trendy bar and always fun. A delightful walk along the beach takes about 10 minute walk to Caville Avenue (can be quicker but beach walk is the best)

Slowly getting worse

Have been visiting the hotel for few years. The quality of service and cleanliness is gradually going to sh*t. Disgustingly dirty curtains, aged carpet with a lot of stories to tell based on its look and annoying smell of kitchen when having opened balcony doors. Something to write home about... not in positive sense.
It is getting to the level where even GHA membership will not be reason for me to stay again.
