Amazing hotel in a beautiful location

It was my seventh visit to Ocean Two last month and once again it was most enjoyable. All the staff under the mangement of Ms Shireene Mathlin-Tulloch work hard as a team to make sure you have a great holiday. Special mention to Roggick and Chantelle, Jean-Paul, Stephen and Damian, Melinda, Nina, Kendrea and Kelsey, Ryan (maintenance), Julia (housekeeping) and the guy who went underwater and kept the pools clean every day. The rooms and suites are fab with comfortable beds and spacious bathrooms with lovely rain showers. Good to see that there are now small refrigerators in the one bed rooms and useful charging ports on the table lamps. The breakfast buffets are a delight with plenty of choice so you can eat something different every day. Great egg and omelette station. There are different themed dining options which include delcious Friday night breadfuit bowls and Saturday night beach barbacue. Of all the hotels I have ever stayed in The Ocean Two sunbeds, on the beach and poolside, are the most comfortable and luxurious. Very handy for an afternoon nap! The Gap with its numerous bars and restaurants is within a short and easy walk away on the flat. Bajans are friendly, kind,helpful and welcoming and Ocean Two will give you a home from home experience. Please try it for yourself.

Amazing setting and a lovely hotel

We stayed for two weeks and had a lovely time. The staff are really helpful and friendly, the apartment we had was great,with a fridge with an ice making machine, dishwasher and washing machine and tumble dryer. We had a nice balcony with a beautiful view over the sea.The buffet breakfast was varied with local Bajan food as well as fruit, bread, cakes, and mostly everything you can wish for, and as other people have said you can get your eggs done anyway you like! There were a couple of issues with the lifts not working, but we were given a credit for that, I think that they are sorted out now. The pool area was good, with big comfortable sun loungers, but we did spend most of our time on the beach, because it was so beautiful. The sea is warm and turquoise, so clear, saw lots of fish and above all turtles! One laid its eggs on the beach early one morning, which we were lucky to see, and when we went swimming we saw quite a few, and they got quite close, so September seems to be a good time to see them there, when there is a full moon. The beach staff, would bring us popcorn or ice lollies, cold towels occasionally and they were really happy and friendly.
Overall a wonderful experience and I would really recommend this hotel and its hospitality.

Where to start?! I landed back from Barbados approx. 7 hours ago, immediately created a Tripadvisor account and thought it best to write this sooner rather than later as not to forget anything! I can genuinely say that this has been one of my most enjoyable stays I have experienced. Anywhere. Not only is Ocean Two exactly as depicted in reviews and images, pristine, well put together and a well oiled machine, but the staff made the entire stay.

Having travelled a fair bit I can say that the workers at Ocean Two are the nicest, warming, friendliest group of people I have ever came across. Nothing was too much to ask and they genuinely want you to enjoy your stay. Never did I encounter somebody that made me feel like they didn't wanna be there or that it was 'just a job'. You are truly made to feel like family. The level of interaction, attentiveness and genuine care is what sets Ocean Two apart. Having the ability to get to know staff members and interact with them organically makes for an extremely relaxing, enjoyable dynamic. Having been both a consumer and provider of customer service I can tell you that interacting with those working around you builds a level of rapport hard to find elsewhere.

Although all members of staff from room attendants, cleaners right through to management were absolutely lovely there has to be a few honourable mentions: All of the guys on reception made you feel comfortable from the jump and in terms of management, Kyle and Nakita were absolutely faultless. Made me feel completely comfortable and at home, the level of care and conversation was exceptional. Samantha, one of the waitresses couldn't do enough for you and always did it with a smile.

At a bar you tend to meet your preferred bartender that you 'vibe' with however this was not the case as: Jean-Marc, Jovanni, Derron, Kyle, Darrien, Shaq and Alex were the perfect team. Regardless of who was working, no request was too much and the interaction and conversation felt extremely comfortable. All bar staff maintained a level of professionalism however not so much so that it felt like just a transaction. Absolutely lovely bunch of bar staff, I would return to Ocean Two based on the bar staff alone!!!

The makers of my trip entirely had to be the beach/pool attendants. Although all the staff at Ocean Two were exceptional and attentive, these guys do their jobs and they do it incredibly well.
Although quieter than the rest Diquan was such a lovely, genuine guy. Regardless of your request he would always do his absolute best to oblige and do so with a smile.
Rico was such a character, with his huge cheesy grin and jovial demeanour it was hard not to laugh with/at him whilst he was working, a genuinely nice guy that always stuck to his work but did so in an interactive manour.

The two stars of the show for me personally however were Damian and Steven. Although all pool/beach attendants were extremely friendly and incredibly attentive these two went above and beyond.

If you look through any review on here the odds are you will see Damian's name mentioned and for good reason. If there is one reason alone that you should visit Ocean Two Damian is it! Damian's such a sweetheart. His job is the same as his peers, he is also a beach/pool attendant however he goes completely above and beyond to make sure that you're smiling and everyone's day runs as smoothly as possible; whether that be by being extremely interactive and charismatic or helping out with jobs that aren't his own. He unintentionally does so much more than anybody else. Damian is the definition of service with a smile, laughing and joking comes naturally to him which is why he is such a hit with guests of all ages. He goes above and beyond to make sure that you are genuinely enjoying yourself and at your most relaxed. It's likely you'll see Damian laughing and joking with somebody or running to the next task whilst keeping it professional. From a few conversations we had I can tell you that Damian is one of the most caring, compassionate, attentive people I have ever experienced, truly an individual. It's hard not to love Damian, if you're having a down day seeing him interact with guests or having fun in his work is enough to put a smile on anybody's face. Not often do you meet people whilst they're at work that are like Damian, his customer service is exceptional and he deserves all opportunities available to him. Employee of the month doesn't even come close!!

Lastly, Steven. During my stay Steven was supervisor of the beach/pool attendants and I can truly say I would love a superior like him. Watching Steven work and seeing how he interacts with guests and motivates his team is wonderful. They are the definition of team work with Steven making sure that if something needs doing it gets done in the most efficient, professional way possible whilst also making sure everybody is good and comfortable with what they're doing. I had a few interactions with him and I can tell that Steven is a motivated hard worker and you can see this in his work/attention to detail, he literally wants what is best for everybody. Steven is dedicated to his position and his job and you can tell that he really wants guests to have the best possible time. A team player who is firm but fair, that will make sure that the tasks at hand are completed to the best of his ability. The ideal 'boss' without always making you aware of it that wants his guests and his team to always be smiling.

Needless to say we're already looking at flights back to Ocean Two for the same time next year!
