Luxury hotel near historical places

I was staying for 1 night in executive room, it's very spacious and quite comfortable. So many variety of foods for breakfast with some of them are traditional foods, there's coffee maker so you can order black coffee, cappuccino or even coffee late. With just walking you can go to any historical sites in this town.
May be this hotel needs to upgrade their TV to 40" television. Existing 32 inch television is too small for this spacious room

5 stars facilities but definitely not 5 stars services..

This hotel probably have 5 stars facilities but definitely not 5 stars services.
I spent 3 nights in this hotel and so glad that I finally checked out. Where to start?

First, the room is too dark. They have problems in lightning. Even in the afternoon it is feel dark. It is very uncomfortable to work with my laptop at room because it is too dark.

Second, they have hallway full of carpet but zero air conditioning. For people like me that have dust allergy, it was nightmare. My second night my asthma relapsed. If they want saving energy by turn down all the air conditioning, as well as take out all the carpet in the hallway.

Third, poor cleaning services. They didn't swept the room properly. I actually need to point out to the cleaning services that there were dust under the chair. They also didn't replace the sheet. They only replace it when the new guest comes. (kinda gross..)

Fourth, bathroom malfunction all around. The bathroom is old style. The bathtub clog can not open properly so the water will not properly drained. I also have problem on flushing. Horrible..

Fifth, many of the reviews said the breakfast are great. But the truth is the breakfast is not good. AT ALL!. Everything is cold. Even the food that suppose to be served hot is not hot. They don't even greet us, let alone usher us to our table.

They should not put MGallery by Sofitel on their name because it will mislead the guest. Because the standard is below the MGallery standard.

Not recommended at all. Renovation is the least of their problems. They need to upgrade its services first.

Wonderful personal touch!

It was my first time ever staying in the hotel. Normally I travel to Solo with airplane, but during this trip, I wanted to try the new luxury train from Gambir train station to Solo Balapan, which allowed me to arrive at around 05:00 AM in Solo. I went to the hotel straight away, with the hope of just putting my luggage and then go straight to meeting. To my surprise, I had a very wonderful experience that very early in the morning, with the help of Pak Andika and Mas Fandhi, who prepared my room way earlier than it should have been and then they allowed me to go to the Spa (thank you Ibu Pika for the very kind help) to take a shower since I just arrived that morning, havent taken any shower for more than 24 hours straight. THANK YOU!
