How to Get There
We had lunch 2 times at this great sky bar, the quality of the food, and the service, was fantastic :).
Prices as in all other restaurants, but no restaurant is near the level of this sky bar.
We highly recommend this place.
Had a 10 night stay in mid June. Room on the 4th floor with side view of the Sea and overlooking the pool towards S,Illot , Had excellent views of the Rooftop sunbathing area, and the sunbathers had an excellent view of Room 404 !
The Room was comfortable , Bathroom well laid out , never put the TV on , whats the point your on holiday ? WiFi pretty good and easy access . Air Con was not the best but that didn't matter much as hardly in the room.
Breakfast was good freshly cooked eggs and pancakes which was a nice touch.
Good position on the seafront but there is no beach in front of the hotel.
Then there is the bits that let this hotel down.
Very limited sunbeds at both pools. The Roof Bar was always busy , but doesn't open until after breakfast closes. Expect to queue ! Why the hotel can not put more beds along the front of the restaurant after breakfast and before the restaurant opens for evening service I don't know ?
The downstairs Bar Area closes at 6pm, so you can only get a drink from the Roof Bar ?
The Restaurants offers Themed Buffet nights , but there are no notices to what they are or when ?
But enjoyed our stay and would return , so it wasn't that bad was it ! Never got to meet the new owner and to be honest , not sure who he is ?
This was our first time in Mallorca and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.
We were greeted to a very warm reception by the reception staff with a lovely chilled glass of fruit infused water.
The entire hotel staff were amazing, from the staff at the rooftop bar to the cleaning staff who were all friendly and always said greeted you with a smile.
Our room was cleaned every day to a high standard.
We thoroughly enjoyed the rooftop bar a few days during our stay and we the enjoyed the best cocktails.
The hotel is literally on the front, and so close to restaurants and tourist shops. Also, only a few minutes walk to the beach.
My only nit pick would be that sometimes I felt that walls were too thin... We could hear the next door very clearly.
I stayed here for 4 days and would recommend for a short stay. The hotel staff were all very friendly, smiling and saying hola, this was reception, waiting staff to the cleaners. The rooms were cleaned every day and even when I left my do not disturb sign for most of the day they came and cleaned it once it was removed.
Breakfast is buffet style with cold meats, fruits etc as well as choice of eggs, bacon, sausage, beans, tomato. With it being buffet style some items were a little on the warm not hot side. Hot drinks where in a machine, recommend getting a glass of milk if you want tea as it is just hot water and a tea bag at the machine.
There are two pools, one up on the roof which is just to cool down really while enjoying the view. The other is a little larger, there are a small number of sunbeds, guests are encouraged not to leave towels on them unattended for too long as they will be removed if other guests want them. This happened at least once in the 4 days I was there. There isn't that many beds so demand can be high though to be honest I always got one.
I upgraded myself to a deluxe room and I glad I did. I had a balcony with a corner so I had a view of the pool and the sea. Due to th location some of the other rooms face a street so if you want a guaranteed view pay extra. My room had a mini fridge which was stocked with chargeable items. It does mean that I could store my own water extra which is a nice touch.
I didn't have dinner included and from what other guests said it was average again buffet style.
There is a spar right across from the hotel.
There are a few places around that do live music but this all quiets down after midnight.
The hotel has a spa. I didn't use it so can't really say good or bad.
I think you if you read some of the other comments here you will find they are based on previous owner and it looks like they have taken some of the most recent comments to heart. There is only music played at the roof top pool and it not that loud. Guest are asked not to leave towels and they do get removed. The sunbeds at the roof pool are for paying guest and anyone else is asked to stay at the seats at the bar area.
My only thing is the food. Maybe have a check of the temperature or look at the heat lamps as they might not be doing a great job.
I would also say that star ratings these days don't usually match what guest actually want.
All in all a pleasant place to stay for a relaxing few days.
We booked this hotel as it’s adults only and four stars. We got the adults only bit but it falls seriously short of four stars. We have stayed at Arenal Lanzarote and Gran Canaria at four star hotels in the last eight months and the Fona in my opinion is a low three star . We booked breakfast for the week but after two mornings gave up . We went down early one morning looking forward to a nice breakfast but there is very little choice. Decided to go with the eggs beans bacon and sausages. The eggs was burnt underneath but completely raw on top the beans was completely cold the bacon again was cold and like leather and the sausages I was unable to cut . It was like they had been the leftovers from the previous day . The next day thought we would go down later but no improvement ended up just walking out leaving the plates full of food on the table . The couple we went with had gone down at different times and it had been exactly the same for them . The pool is tiny and there is only about twenty sun beds which are covered by towels first thing in a morning. We went to the sky bar a couple of times with our friends but didn’t stay it has very little atmosphere and does not look like the pictures. We and our friends both just slept there and went out first thing in a morning and didn’t come back till late . This hotel could be so much more but it is just lacking in so many areas. That being said the rooms got cleaned regularly the reception staff was always smiling and friendly but that doesn’t make it four stars . Seriously disappointed
