Greenway’s gourmet menus regularly change according to the seasons (and which produce is available locally). This keeps the dining fresh and exciting and ensures a commitment to sustainable cooking. When the weather’s fine you can dine out on the terrace.
From the moment you walk into this decadent spa you’ll

bound to impress. There’s a hydrotherapy pool, a state-of-the-art
fitness suite, a studio for classes, a sauna, a steam room and samarium,
experience showers, a kubel dusche (one for the brave – it’s an
elevated bucket of ice cold water which you stand under and pull a cord
to spill on yourself), an al fresco hot tub and even a champagne nail
bar where you can sip fizz while you get a polish and shape. There
are also several stylish treatment rooms where you can choose from a
range of massages, facials and beauty treatments. All treatments use
seriously luxurious products to leave your skin soft and supple.
The Greenway Hotel and Spa sits just outside the historic Regency town of Cheltenham and is surrounded by eight acres of pristine green grounds with the rolling hills and woods of the Cotswolds beyond. If you were hoping to explore this lovely part of the world then this hotel is perfectly placed. Cheltenham itself is unique and interesting, known as the ‘garden town of England’. There’re also lots of pretty country houses with amazing gardens to visit including Chedworth, Hailes Abbey, and Lodge Park. You’re just a short drive from the ancient Roman city of Bath, or if you fancied a day at the races then Cheltenham Race Course is also nearby.
How to Get There
We stayed here for three nights for our honeymoon. We paid for a basic room rate with breakfast on booking.com and the hotel gave us a gorgeous big room. And a glass of champagne on arrival as a congratulations present! Dinner in the hotel first night was expensive (£37.50 for two courses) but delicious (-it did include 2 canapés each and a weird amouse Bouche thing - can’t spell that). Gorgeous grounds with a nice hour walk up a big hill and the grounds offer a short walk too. Really nice and friendly staff. The spa is nice and relaxing (no kids or noise). Superb hot stone massage (would highly recommend). We are definitely coming back. 15-20 minute drive to Cheltenham or Gloucester. We’ve stayed at another hotel in the Cotswolds area that claims to be 5* (Dormy house) and we preferred Greenway. Shame the hotel guests have to pay to use the gym/pool as it made it more expensive.
A fantastic hotel - great facilities and service. Looked after from the moment I arrived to the moment I left - Alice went out of her way to ensure everything was perfect - nothing was too much.
I would highly recommend.
Really nice hotel with very polite and professional staff. Restaurant food was expensive but very good, breakfast was nice. The best part of this hotel is the spa facilities which were amazing. Would love to go back one day!
2 nights of bliss and a day in a lovely spa. I stayed in room 6 - a very large suite. Very beautifully decorated and a huge roll top bath. The evening meals were superb. As was breakfast. It was a bit wet to explore the grounds but I could imagine they would be lovely in warmer weather.
Spa is small but beautiful. I had a one hour treatment. It was excellent and the spa rooms are very beautiful. Everything was of a very high standard and the people who worked there were very nice and seemed to
Genuinely enjoy their jobs.
I will be back. It was excellent.
Stayed for one night to attend a function at the hotel. Can not recommend this hotel highly enough. Very comfortable room, helpful, friendly staff, great breakfast and a stunning location. A really nice touch is that they serve cheese at room temperature. It sounds a bit picky but so many places don’t do that. They really do pay attention to detail. And you can do some lovely walks from the hotel.
