Lovely place, brilliant family friendly resort
Reviewed 13 hours ago

We stayed here only 3 nights as a stopover to UK from Australia. We wanted somewhere we didn't have to go too far (Kids are 0 and 3 yrs old). This fit the bill perfectly.

We chose a single room for 2 adults and two young kids. The room was amply big for a short stay and the two double beds pushed together nicely to produce a safe bed for any and all inhabitants (as per most scenarios kids end up in bed with you based on their broken routine)

The things that really stood out for us were the friendly staff...nothing was too much trouble for any of them.

Kids woke up at 3am as they were out of time zone and on the requisite zombie march with pram (to spare wife from further sleep deprivation) found a Nespresso machine and some snacks. Little details like this really count!

The pool is easily the best kids based setup I've seen and my 3 yr old daughter probably would not have left the pool except to eat (if she had been given the choice). There are also a lot of lifeguards and staff ensuring patron (esp. children) safety.

We had breakfast early at the buffet. One of the best buffets I've eaten at, staff turnover the tables quickly if there is a queue. There are so many things done to make eating fun and friendly for the kids and they'll let you take fruits and yoghurts back to the room (within reason) if the kids are not 'playing ball'. Even had the supervisor Edgar made my child a babycino using the Nespresso Machine and was very warm and friendly and had a great conversation too. Little gestures like this make a huge difference to customers and to all hotel staff...it was clear the whole place had a can-do attitude at all levels and everyone worked well together

The site is based right between the Skyrail and Cable Car lines, so both are literally a 2-3 minute walk from reception and allow you to see many sights and get into Singapore 'proper' with a minimum of fuss. There is a shuttle bus along the beach and also to Resorts World (Universal Studios/Aquarium etc.). This makes a difference if you've got kids that need prams/kids car seats etc... Many of the taxi's won't take you without the proper car seats/capsules

Sentosa Island itself has so much to do, for young families the Trapizza restaurant was good, quick service and 'tame' food that young kids will eat.

I was even able to feed my 9 month old baby some fruit at lunchtime, without anyone worrying about me paying for the buffet (yes he only ate 4 pieces of cut fruit)...but the 'kids eat free' motto is steadfast and the staff really do seem to love the kids

Even little things like fixing TV remotes and returning them to the room, concierge desk receiving our lost items (from friends) and returning them to our room and bar staff helping out to set up a computer to work at in the middle of the day

Housekeeping staff asking if we needed towels if we passed them in the hallway... and were consistently engaging and asking if we had what we needed and when would be a good time to service room based on sleeping kids

I could wax lyrical on many different things, but the one thing I can say is we will be back again...and could not recommend the place more highly

Great facilities and responsive staff, but marred by unpleasant fellow guests

Was a little skeptical staying here as it is a rather aged resort, but reviews of family-friendly facilities and great staff prompted us to give it a try. Facilities for kids were indeed comprehensive including play rooms, table tennis tables, foosball, water zones and pools catered for various age groups as well as sports. Room design was dated but generally comfortable and clean.

However, more can be done to manage the crowd especially in the Mini Toots play room. There were parents in there who were not wearing proper socks and did not adequately supervise their children, resulting in rowdy behavior. The staff also did not enforce taking of temperature and sanitization of hands before guests enter the play room. Viruses these days are highly contagious and easily spread hence there should have been more diligence in this area. Just putting up signs but not enforcing is pointless.

The crowd was also overwhelming at the buffet dinner on a Saturday evening, although there were some activities i.e. drawing materials to keep the kids entertained, but again there were less than civilized guests who demanded to be seated first which made things a little chaotic. Also the family seated next to our table removed our baby chair for their own use without permission, although the wait staff were quick to get us another chair it already created an unpleasant experience.

Overall I commend the hotel's staff in being extremely hospitable and patient in putting up with less than desirable guests but I'm not sure if I would endure another stay with such crowd.

Coming from the states this was my family’s first time in Singapore and Sentosa Island we were pleasantly surprised by the lovely surroundings and beautiful hotel. Enhanced by the actual surroundings in the China Sea.

Our room was a hillside and spacious for two adults and one teenager. We appreciated the little extras such as hair ties and shaving kit.

On the first night we ate on property at the buffet which had a lot of offerings for all ages.

The pool Was cleaning and always had a lot of lifeguards. Though we are not traveling with small children we did see a lot of kids and would think that this would be a family friendly hotel.

Best sea in Asia

Such a beautiful location but it is not easy to come from Singapore. We flew to Kalibo and then took the van that the hotel has arranged and it is ok. Then a speed boat and you arrive. It was Chinese new year, weather was perfect. Sea and beaches are very nice. It has a private beach but I liked the shared one more. Italian restaurant is very nice. Service is just fine they cant cope with the crowd.

Sensational Family Holiday

Having not been to Singapore or Sentosa Island before, we were not sure what to expect of this resort and the surrounding area.

To say out expectations were exceeded would be an understatement!

We requested an airport transfer and this service was seamless. Our driver was there waiting for us and we were soon on our way to Sentosa in a clean, spacious vehicle which had complementary water and wifi on board.

Upon arrival at the hotel, we were met by a member of staff who took us immediately to our room. Our room was larger than we expected with a lovely balcony. The room was clean and all of the little extras were appreciated (hair ties, shaving kit etc.).

We had dinner at the buffet on the first night and were not disappointed. The food was fresh and delicious and the kids buffet area was fantastic for our 4 year old son.

The pools are always clean and there were plenty of sun loungers available, at all times of the day.

The kids club and staff were fantastic and my son enjoyed several sessions with the friendly staff.

I cannot fault this experience at all and we intend to return to the resort in January for another family break.

Thank you to all of the staff who made our stay so exceptional and memorable.
