How to Get There
We stayed here for a week to celebrate my daughters 16th. The team went out of their way to surprise her with a gluten free birthday cake & surprise gift. Lovely hotel, great staff & the fact that you can do your laundry for free was an added bonus. The hotel is on the beach front & perfect for families. All the staff from the reception to the concierge & even the chefs really welcome you. I would highly recommend this hotel.
We had a fantastic week at the Shangri-La on Sentosa. I visited with my wife and 2 year old daughter. The hotel is very big, but we never had any issues with overcrowding in the pool or at any of the restaurants so this wasnt an issue. Check-in was a little slow which spoilt our arrival a bit, however this was soon forgiven as we received a call from the Duty Manager near the end of our trip offering an apology and giving us a late check out, which was perfect as our flight wasnt until the evening, so we were very happy with this. All of the staff were very friendly, and our daughter loved the big pool, and the games that were put on every day by the "fun team" were excellent, even letting her join in (she was too young really, but she had fund walking across the inflatables when they were set up). The food was fantastic, breakfast has a huge buffet, there are plenty options for lunch and dinner. The dinner buffets are a little pricey, but to be fair the selection is fantastic. The room was very comfortable and was perfect size for us. All in all, we loved our time here and will certainly be coming again!
I have just returned from a 7 night stay at this wonderful resort with my parents and daughter (husband stayed home to work) and we had such a fantastic trip. My father was hesitant about staying on the island but now is glad he did. The hotel provides a great shuttle bus around the island or if you need to get to the mainland they drop you off at Vivo City and take it from there all free of charge.
The rooms were very clean and the beds were to die for (I have NEVER been on holidays and slept so well as what I did - WOW). The buffet breakfast had such a large variety of food there is no way you could possibly leave hungry.
The only concern we had was regarding the pool as they had a little section that was 1.4mt deep but the entire rest of the pool (which was lovely I must admit) but it was 2.5mt deep which to me isn't very family friendly as I cant swim very well so I had to hold on around the edge.
A big shout out to my favourite lady in Reception - Farah (I hope I got her name correct) she was amazing and went out of her way to help me out with EVERYTHING, Sofitel are blessed to have such a beautiful, lovely, welcoming lady onsite.
Indra was also a great help to myself & my family as he always had a smile on his face and helped us with any questions we had.
All in all the Sofitel was a great place to stay we were all very pleased and impressed with everything it had to offer.
