Hotel de Paris Sanremo embraces the classical elegance of its namesake, bringing Belle Époque splendor to its seafront location in Sanremo – Italy’s self-styled Monte Carlo on the Liguria coast. Housed in a grand Art Nouveau building, the hotel features an impressive lobby, with polished marble floors and large glass vases displaying fine floral arrangements – a tribute to the City of Flowers (as Sanremo is also known).
Your room is just as impressive; each elegantly designed retreat is inspired by one of the many famous artists who’ve flocked to this beautiful region over the years. After spending the day on one of the sandy beaches – or a night in Sanremo’s famous Art Nouveau casino – you’ll love kicking back in the plush, regal bed. A panoramic elevator leads up to the top floor, where you’ll find splendid sea views and a gourmet restaurant, serving beautifully presented Italian and French cuisine.
Oozing with old-world elegance, Deluxe rooms are individually decorated in calming hues of ochre, pink, blue or green. Each room pays tribute to a well-known artist that spent time in the region, with hand-picked paintings and ornate furniture.
Breakfast is served each morning in the basement brasserie, while the dining room, on the top floor, is open for lunch and dinner and boasts lovely sea views. The restaurant offers a wonderful menu of traditional Italian and French cuisine, with a carefully selected wine list.
The small underground spa area offers a Jacuzzi, an emotional shower, a steam room and a sauna. You can also squeeze in a few workouts at the well-equipped gym.
Hotel de Paris Sanremo is located just steps from the sea, overlooking the palm-lined Corso Imperatrice and the sparkling blue water beyond. Around the hotel, you’ll find the impressive Art Nouveau casino and the vast Portosole Marina. Also recommended is the Sanctuary of the Cetaceans, with the highest concentration of whales and dolphins in the Mediterranean, and, for the golfers, nearby Degli Ulivi, one of Europe’s most popular golf courses. To really get the most out of this gorgeous location, though, simply walk among the flower-strewn hills behind the hotel or cycle along the dedicated bike path along the coast.
How to Get There
This was just a one night stay for us after travelling from San Tropez.
Receptionists spoke perfect English and were very friendly and helpful. The hotel has a newly decorated look to a very high standard with lots of painted detail. Gold fittings everywhere give the feel of a very high quality place. Very large double bed and despite being in a room facing the rear of the hotel our window still looked out onto a beautiful church.
Breakfast was one of the best we have ever had with a very good selection of both hot and cold. Cakes and croissant were fantastic. In fact the croissants were the best I’ve ever had. The service in the dining room was superb.
All in all I can say this hotel is one I’d recommend and I would return.
We had a lovely stay at this beautiful hotel in Sanremo. It has a perfect position close to the beaches, restaurants, bars and shopping. The staff were excellent and very welcoming. The buffet breakfast was delicious and set in a gorgeous, classically styled room.
The room was spacious and kept spotless by the very efficient maid who timed her clean whilst we were enjoying breakfast every day.
My only complaint is that the air-conditioning in our room wasn’t very effective.
We will definitely be returning in the future!
A fabulous hotel with exceptionell service, clean and nice apartaments and delicious breakfast.
We enjoyed a beutiful sea view and sitting on a flowery terrace/balcony.
Some breakfasts were acompanied with musical life perfomance on harpa. We had a fantastic caring host at the restaurant by namn Marco who made our stay very pleasant.
