Stunning hotel

We stayed at the Maria Christina for two nights in February and had an amazing time. Having visited San Sebastián around a dozen times this was our first time at the Maria Christina and it was everything we expected, the staff were all first class and made our stay memorable. We took advantage of the valet parking which is worth doing as you can pull up at the front door and let the staff do the rest.

The hotel does come with an expensive price tag but as the saying goes, you get what you pay for

Highly recommended

By far my favorite place to stay in the region, and quite possibly the country... We had an excellent stay start to finish... Lovely rooms, great location and nice staff! The Michelin starred pop-up in particular was particularly fantastic!

We love this hotel one of our favs in world!

This place is amazing! The service is top notch from bellman, check in, breakfast staff, dry bar staff to everyone!

We are always greeted warmly by the doorman and went to reception and were greeted warmly. I am Platinum so I had used points and cash and suite upgrade rewards and had a nice room but wanted highest floor and see if terrace suite was available and it was for nice discounted rate of 95 euro per night and took that deal. We were in room 510 which was facing corner back side (facing away from river and facing old town) and it was a gorgeous room with beautiful terrace (due to some spotty rain the chaise chairs were covered up for rain protection)

Room: Like I mentioned beautiful terrace suite room 510. This hotel is elegant and luxurious in every detail.

Breakfast: This is a beautiful breakfast with an assortment of cold cuts, cheeses, and warm foods etc. . .. the omelet is wonderful. The servers are attentive and the breakfast space is beautiful with views of river etc... . .on a beautiful day you can sit outside which is what I recommend.

Amenities: we didnt use gym but we did use the business computer and printed out some entrance passes for our trip. The bar is lovely with amazing service and drinks. Highly recommend. You can use their bikes for free which I recommend to take tour of beach areas and surrounding old town.

SPG perks: they always treat us like royalty and upgrade us. . . this time I used my suite upgrade but prob would have been upgraded as has been our prior experience.

Verdict: This is one of our all time favorite hotels in all our travels and in the world. For the experience, location, history, and elegance, this hotel cannot be beat. They truly treat you with old world luxury. highly highly recommend without any reservations!
