A really outstanding hotel
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Arrived very late. Had checked in online previously (a great service!). Exceptionally friendly service at front desk. Room was a spectacular suite, great view of the Missouri River, very well-appointed, and split-level to boot. 3 TVs. Room service the next morning was right to the minute when requested, and checkout was a breeze. The room rate was very fair, competitive as well. Staff at every level was friendly and competent.
Highly recommend this hotel.

Casino Hotel Over-Looking Missouri River
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

The Ameristar is an all-suites casino hotel beside the Missouri River. Hotel is easy to reach off Highway 70 East / West. Th presort is large with plentiful parking inside their parking garages (free). We had a small glitch checking in, as they could not find our reservation. After 20 plus minutes, the Front Desk Staff did locate the reservation. A bit of a negative waiting to check in after a long day driving to get there, however, the Staff was pleasant and kept working until the issue was resolved. Our suite was large and nice. The room had a separate sunken living room on the window side. The living room, the bedroom and the bathroom all had televisions with satellite stations. Our room overlooked the River and also St. Louis beyond. As the room, so was the bathroom large. It had a two sink vanity, walk in shower and separate tub. Additionally, the toilet was in a separate small room in the bathroom with its own door. All room furnishings were excellent. The beds were comfortable, so along with the quite room, we slept well. The Resort has several types of restaurants including Asia, Amerisports Bar & Grill, Bugatti's Steak & Pasta, Fifth Street Deli, Falcon Diner, King Cat Club, Landmark Buffet, Pearl's Oyster Bar and Falcon Bakery. My other half enjoys gambling while me not so much. We walked around the casino after dinner. I then retired while she stayed to try her luck. Actually she won and left with more than she started with, so a happy event. We were only at the resort late on day and evening, having to leave early the next day. However, we did have a good time. We would like to stay here again when we had more time.

We had a great time!

Everything was so nice here. The front desk staff was very helpful in explaining the details of our room and amenities, very friendly and professional. The lobby is beautiful. Our room was also beautiful, we loved the sunken living room. Complimentary coffee and water was an added plus. A refrigerator was provided, also very much apppreciated! The view of the river was soothing. The beds were also very comfortable, and the bathroom was so roomy with a shower AND a tub, and double sinks. We slept great. We did not hear any room-to-room noise. We ate at the sports grill, and had great service and food there too. We had a group of four and every order was done perfectly. The casino did not seem especially smoky to us. There were many machines to choose from, upstairs and down! We really enjoyed our quick overnight getaway and will definitely consider returning when we are in the neighborhood.

Terrible Hotel - Maid Service
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

We stayed at St Charles location on April 28-30th. On arrival we were pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to check in and park - our room was gorgeous. On Saturday, we left our hotel around 9 am and returned at 4:45, to our surprise our room had not been cleaned. Around 5, a housekeeper asked if she could clean, we told her to give us 10 minutes to change and she could. We left and went to eat - my husband returned to the room at 6:30 and room was still not clean and he went to the front desk to report and was told it would be taken care of. After getting ill at the casino, we returned to our room at 9:30 and it still was not cleaned! We were furious - back to the front desk to speak with a supervisor. She was apologetic and gave us a $30 food voucher - which we don’t feel equated to the problems we encountered. Finally around 10 someone came to clean the room and told us it would be 45- an hour to clean. Due to not feeling well, went and sat in the lobby. Upon re-entering our room, you could clearly tell the towels were replaced, bed made but nothing else was done. Very disappointing when we are paying $300/night. We were so excited to visit this resort - it was a total let down.

Group Stay

Had a motorcoach of seniors staying at this resort. We were met by Brian with all of our keys and information. Everyone in our group loved the hotel, accommodations, buffet, casino, etc. We had an early departure time the next morning and the restaurant even opened 30 minutes earlier just for us. Amazing Experience. We will definitely stay at this resort again in our travels.
