How to Get There
My husband and I were married at Sandals Grande St. Lucian on 6-16-18. We stayed 8 nights and had 10 guests with us. It was the PERFECT wedding. Everything was taken care of and Jenna, our wedding coordinator was an angel. She never let me worry or stress about anything. Our photographer Allen was amazing and captured every single moment perfectly. I could not have asked for a more perfect wedding! All of the food at the resort was delicious. We took a boat tour on the Knotty Girl and booked with Lyle and it was a blast! My husband got scuba certified and said Peaches, his instructor was amazing! He really enjoyed it. We did not want to leave this gorgeous place, and we will definitely be back for one of our anniversaries! In the mean time, we plan to try out different Sandals resorts!
This was our first time at a Sandals resort and we loved it. The resort itself we loved, our room was located in the lover's lagoon so we had access to the pool from our room and would recommend it. We loved waking up and getting breakfast delivered then heading into our lagoon for a swim before starting our day. We never had an issue getting chairs by the pool either which is a common thing at many other resorts. The food was good, nothing spectacular but definitely some nice restaurant choices. Gordon's was by far our favorite meal. The staff are mostly very nice and try to be helpful. Husband liked working out in the gym as well. Will definitely be trying another Sandals resort soon.
My wife, Lindsay, and I flew all the way from Japan, and separated from our 13 month old twins for the first time to join our friends for a destination wedding get away. This trip was amazing, and the staff was so friendly, lively, and inviting. Most notably, Nyah kept us busy and our minds off missing our children. We couldn’t ask for a better distraction, so thank you Nyah for your enthusiasm and hospitality. Love, Daniel and Lindsay Parrish. ❤️
This was our 3rd Sandals trip in 3 weeks. This resort and island was the best of the 3. The staff here are exceptionally nice and accommodating. Never had a single issue with service. Tips aren’t allowed so you just don’t have to worry about carrying money around at all. Butlers should be tipped at the end of your stay if you have one.
The food was good. The places with reservations are always the best! There were multiple places to grab lunch besides the buffet.
We had a loyalty dinner with the staff and that really was fun and nice to feel like we were appreciated as return guests.
The beach was great! It was beautiful with the view. The bar isn’t too far from
The beach which is convenient.
The entertainment staff at this resort was exceptional! The country night was our favorite! There is karaoke and a piano bar. There is always somewhere to party until 2 am if that’s what you like.
Excursions are early so you have to be prepared to wake up early!
We took the helicopter back to the airport and I would strongly suggest it. 10 minute ride as opposed to 1.5 hours in a van with the crazy drivers and roads. It was awesome to see the island from above.
If you don’t want to have to think about anything, get a butler. They bring you drinks and food and you never have to get up. It’s a personal preference.
We look forward to going back to this resort! I love that if you book another resort before you leave, you get a huge discount! See Gilbert in the loyalty lounge. He is awesome!!!
My wife and I came here June 2018 for another couple's wedding. All together we were a group of about 55 people.
My wife and I travel extensively for work and for pleasure so we consider ourselves pretty well versed when it comes to luxury hotels and economy hotels and all in between. Based on the price we paid for our room ($900+ per night) I was very disappointed in our room. It was no better than your typical Holday Inn style room...nothing fancy or extra large. That price just basically gets you the ability to order room service as a part of the all-inclusive package rather than as a room charge. So we get settled and I figured ok...hopefully they justify the price with great food and top-shelf liquor.
Nope. The food at the 7 of the 9 restaurants was good...just good. We were impressed with the Indian restaurant and the Japanese Steakhouse...but again it was not worth the high price of admission.
Overall, had we gone to Hawaii or somewhere else with a Four Seasons or similar caliber of resort we would have definitely spent less money for a better room and definitely better food.
I will say however the staff at this place is truly wonderful. Gasius seemed to be right there whenever we needed something and he remembered my drink from the moment we arrived throughout our trip. Ireneis was a master at the pool bar. The staff at this resort are the only thing that deserves 5 stars...the rest is worth about 3.5 stars at best
