How to Get There
We have stayed at several Sandals resorts in the last few years and this one certainly did not disappoint. The resort is managed perfectly, always spotless and well manicured. All of the staff were amazing and went out of their way to make our stay perfect. So much so that I can't name individuals as the list would be too long! Special shout outs to Rohan and Gilbert who went above and beyond :)
Great choice of restaurants with very good, varied menus and fabulous food.
Tour choices were good too with Island routes - although a little on the expensive side, we went on the Chocolate Decadence tour which included a trip to Hotel Chocolat on the Rabot estate where we actually made a bar of chocolate to bring back. This tour also includes cruising on catamarans and a volcanic mud bath. On this trip we met Carol Lisa who works within the Island routes events team - so do make contact with her for any incentive/fam trips etc.,
Our only negative was the person who served us in the photo shop but I guess everyone is entitled to an off day every now and then.
Journey time from the airport can take a long time so best to avoid Fridays we were advised.

Bus ride to and from the airport isn’t the best, wife gets carsick and this wasn’t a fun ride for her. BUT quickly forgotten when you get here. Grand open lobby area and concierge type services to assist what and when to do some things if desired. Restaurants are good here, like the different themes for each, keeps things interesting /exciting with new places every night. Food is good for the most part. Everybody has there likes and dislikes about restaurants but most of it was great! Plenty of bars around to keep drinks full and usually right by the beach/ water. Did also hear the other Sandles resort guests would make the travel to Grande as they have the best beach and entertainment (so I heard). Loved this place as there is a spot for everything from fitness center, tennis, water sports, great snorkeling, swim up bar, party area, quiet pool, quiet relaxing spa area and more. Staff is fantastic, everybody makes an effort to make sure your doing great. Anybody will handle an issue from needing a drink, needing to find aloe, recommending an activity or place for dinner or anything. All of this has led to an experience we will never forget and wanting to come back and do this same location again
We came on vacation on 12/5/18. . We fly from Toronto on Air Canada. Flight was long and airport transfer was long as well we was tired. I complain in the lobby about the problems and the front desk called guest manager Nadia. After that our vacation become like one good dream. For Caribbean island service was impeccable. We book a cabanas for 2 days and was pampered. We went to Gordon, Bombay, Bayside, Tuscany, Soy restaraunts for dinner. They all great. But 2 restaurants went above and beyond to ensure we had wonderful experience. 1st it was Bayside. The manager was 5 times asking if we need something and have good time. Drinks were delivered no more than 3-5 min after order. Bar run out of mint leaves for the mojito, so one of waters run on the other side of resort to get me drunk which I order. I promise you I could of leave with out that mojito, but the effort to make us happy was impressive. The staff and Nadia did anything and everything to ensure our stay is one of the kind. I am a prick and hard to please , but Nadia and her cru did it. I am fully satisfied and happy. I honestly didn’t want to leave. I am actually writing this review on our way to airport. We booked another vacation to the same resort and same room before we left. Thank Nadia and staff of Sandals Grand for making our stay pleasant, enjoyable, and memorable!!!
We just got back from the best Vacation you can have. From our favorite server, "Princess" to the kind and gentle Chef "Augustus" who took time to talk with me at my table, the staff was absolutely top notch. Special mention of Bryon who was in their HTP "Hospitality Training Program", we are not sure how much he could have left to learn, He needs promoting as he was fun and had a lot of personality, and very attentive. With "Demetreus" looking out for us and made sure we were always taken care of, I cannot imagine a staff who was more determined to ensure we had the best time possible. Bianca was very entertaining and always had a great smile, I cannot figure out how they can do it! Neville "the Devil" was also a really fun guy who brought cheer to everyone he came across, tie-dies a mean shirt, as well.
My husband and I had the pleasure of an 8 night stay in a beachfront butler suite. There are so many great things to say about this resort, good food (Gordon’s and Toscanini’s are great), BEAUTIFUL beach and scenery, clean grounds, but what makes it stand out the most out of the nine Sandals we have been to in the past is the staff. Never have we felt so welcomed or had such top notch customer service. This staff works hard at all hours. There is always someone working to keep the resort clean, the beach pristine, the grounds immaculate, the rooms spotless, and the food and drinks coming. And all service with a smile. Our butlers, Kenwin, William, and Michelle were amazing. We couldn’t have asked for anything more. If you can’t be happy here, you can’t be happy anywhere.
