Amazing hotel and great staff
Reviewed 2 days ago

We stayed at this property with our 2 boys( 7 and 9 years) celebrating our younger birthday ( since it was his requested to have family holiday as his gift). The hotel location and rooms were amazing and spacious, we have our private pool the kids did not have enough from there all the time.

This is not it, we have a lot of activities thanks to the great experiences team that organized for us and kids, so much, from archery activities ( our kids love it), birds show, pony grooming, hours riding, camel riding, and finish oh my God we did not have we did not enjoy the property.

Now the amazing part, that the entire hotel have celebrated our little boy in a very special day, during the farm dinner we have an amazing cake and songs for our little one that made him feels so special. the next morning a special table were set at breakfast with balloons and donuts that put my little boy on the moon ( that you the entire F&B team you are great) This is not it, when my boy went back to the room there-were another another case waiting for his with balloons in the room and the most amazing thing that the entire staff of the hotel video recorded happy birthday wishes to him OMG it's was an amazing hospitality.

Again than you all the team of Ritz for making our stay such special, this is what Ritz mean.

Extraordinary hotel in the desert

A severe competition for the famous Al Maha. Service and food improved enormously compared to the times the Al Wadi sailed under the sign of Banyan Tree. The staff and the management do a great job. Also Kevin, the little African owl welcoming us every morning at the breakfast terrace. The Farmhouse comes up with a high-end, but not cook-to-impress quality and is really down to earth. Al Wadi is the ideal location to relax and enjoy life. Only one critical remark: would be great to have a separate corner for adults for breakfast and to give thechildren their own place to playßing around.

Not up to Ritz standards

This a five star beautiful property with a 3 star hotel service standards.
Upon check in we ordered lunch to our villa around 3 pm, the dishes from the table were not cleared until 11 pm even after several calls and reminders.
We had finally received our morning coffee during breakfast at the restaurant after 40 minutes!!! Even we followed up every 10 minutes with them, the only answer we heard “ It’s coming “. Yeah , I guess it was coming from Brazil.
Tables next to us were never cleared after other guests had breakfast and left, so many birds were gathering around it and flying next to our food on the table.
Same happened at the Moon bar, after a couple who was seating next to us left, their glasses and dishes were still there for another hour until we left the place as well.
When one day we arrived for breakfast and wanted to be seated outdoor they told us that the table are reserved for some Arabic guests. Honestly I had no idea that you should reserve your desired table for breakfast, during all my travel experience it was first come first serve basis.
When I called to book a table for dinner they asked me if we needed a buggy to pick us up, but unfortunately the buggy never showed up at requested time.
Upon check out there was some telephone charges to our room , which we never use as we have our own cell phones, they have removed it, but still why it was there at the first place.
We have raised few issues mentioned above to telephone operator, she promised that the duty manager will call us back on Thursday evening, which has never happened off course. But as a compensation for all the inconvenience as they said we got couple of additional capsules of coffee! Thank you! That’s what I have never expected from Ritz. If a guest is ready to pay as much as they are charging per night, at least one expect to have a five star service.

Absolute surprise and a gem

Recent trip to North Africa with a planned three night stop over in Dubai. Looking for a quieter spot away from the glitter of Dubai booked at this resort in Al Wadi desert. Just one hour from Dubai airport by comfortable road transfer and what a pleasant surprise. A magnificent "tented" villa with own heated swimming pool in absolute privacy and luxury with courteous and efficient service. The villas are spread out but easily accessible by golf buggy or as we preferred by bicycles provided at each villa. There are many activities if that is your scene but for an absolute chill out en route highly recommended. We will certainly visit again.Restaurants are three and varied and excellent quality.
