It was really the best place for relaxation and enjoyment for family. We enjoyed the private pool and kids were really happy. The villa was amazing, clean and had all the things perfect. The kids also enjoyed in the kids club with the friendly staff in all the facility

Bad service
Reviewed 3 days ago

The service was really bad, we booked 3 villas and for the price we payed ( 4400 AED) we expect 5 stars service ( shampoo and shower gels and soaps was provided for 1 person in each villa, slippers wasn't provided, lunch was ordered for 6 people and they send send us 1 yogurt only with the rice) the checkout is too early at 11 AM and when we request to extend the checkout they refuse to extend for the 3 villas just for 1 and their attitude was not proper, further more at 5:00 AM we heard loud voice we couldn't sleep.

Anyways am not going to book or stay at Ritz Carlton again and i will not refer my family and friends to book with them, service was better when the management was under banyan tree.

Note: We are locals and we deserve excellent service and , we are not staying for free to get this bad service.

We stayed just one night and had a wonderful time to celebrate my wife’s birthday. I had read some recent reviews about bad service or fixtures being tired, but we did not experience or see such problems.

The room was excellent and we had a very comfy bed. The children shared the sofa bed which was large and had doors so they were separate from us. Bathroom is huge and had a very nice bath and shower.

Food for dinner and breakfast was excellent. The main hotel pool was really good - great beds, pool bar and separate children’s pool.

Little touches make the difference and why you pay the premium: buggy service which was at on call, children provided cuddly toys on arrival, packing the car on departure, valet which got your car and then came and told you inside when it was ready, birthday cake left in the room when we came back from the pool.

Recommend for all least two nights to maximise the experience.

An issue after another

I came here in our anniversary with my husband for 2 nights. We arrived around 4 which is was later than the check in time. After waiting for 45 minutes they inform us that there is a problem with the pool.As there is a white color in the pool which will need time to clear but oh it’s ok to swim in! The main reason for staying here is for the private pool experience. And to make us happy they will give us complimentary drinks! I’m paying in thousands and they are giving me a 50AED solution. After having arguments with them they said they will offer us in upgrade ( which is misleading as it’s the same size room) but in another corner of the hotel. And for them to get it ready, we waited for another hour for that room! They ruined the entire experience we wanted which is unacceptable in a 5 star hotel like the Ritz Carlton!

Below expectations

We felt mislead. The official website makes this place look like a tranquil escape for honeymooners- but in fact we experienced the opposite. We were surrounded by loud Asian families throughout our entire stay.

Our room was in a tightly packed row of villas with loud children all around. Our private pool was hot (34C) and had no area for sunbathing.

We tried the public pool, but it turned out to be a very sad place. It had the charm of a military compound in Saudi Arabia, to be frank. Also, the buggy that drove us there was in need of maintenance.

The toilet seat in our bathroom was cracked. When we complained they sent us an apology card, but did not offer to fix the situation.

Dinner at Farmhouse was very good. But again, it was swarmed with wildly misbehaving children that ruined the atmosphere. They were even running around in the adjacent bar, hanging on the curtains and playing with the table decorations. The staff didn’t dare to intervene.

Breakfast was disappointing for a Ritz Carlton.

When we checked out, the management were apologetic and offered an upgrade for the next time. But there won’t be a next time.

We also didn’t like the checkin policy. Check in at 3pm (you reach your room by 4pm) and checkout at 11am next day doesn’t offer much value or time to enjoy the room. Especially given the high rates.
