Beautiful hotel, lovely staff
Reviewed 2 days ago

We just got back after staying 4 nights at this lovely hotel. The welcome was really nice, staff were really friendly & offered us a glass of homemade lemonade which was very refreshing.

The hotel faces a beautiful beach, it’s very peaceful. The sea is lovely but full of pebbles. It can be hard to walk on. You need to either be really careful or come prepared with special sea shoes. You can walk further down where there are clearer places for swimming. The scenery is beautiful. Come out the hotel turn right, walk along the beach 30-40 mins & you will come across beautiful sandy beaches.

The hotel has good lunch/dinner options. The squid tempura is delicious & comes with yummy fries. The chicken gyoza was also really good.

What made our stay was the the staff, they were all really polite, professional caring & attentive. They all work really hard to ensure the guests are happy, comfortable & have everything they need.
The service here is 5 star, thank you to all for making our stay so amazing. Special thank you to Anna & Maria at reception & Nina at the restaurant who were all lovely & really looked after us. We didn’t get everyone’s name but everyone we came across were really nice & so accommodating.

The Breakfast is lovely. There’s lots of variation. You get a glass of fresh orange juice & fresh coffee which was really good.

The actual hotel is beautiful, lovely setting by the beach. Nice pool area, really nicely decorated, & everywhere was very clean.

Our room was really nice, a good size. The only thing the room didn’t have was a kettle. This is usually standard at all hotels we have stayed in, you usually always have free coffee/tea making facilities. You can order tea/coffee from the bar but you have to pay.

If you choose to stay here you will have a lovely relaxing time & they really look after you but bare in mind that there’s hardly anything around the hotel so you either need a car or just stay & enjoy a few days of pure relaxation. There’s a couple of tavernas you can visit close by & beaches. We liked that it was quiet, very Greek & not very touristy. This hotel is a 4 star but could even be a 5 star as the service is so good.

Quiet and relaxing

We stayed in Finikas for 4 days and didnt really know how secluded it was beforehand. For us it wasn’t a problem, we enjoyed the peaceful atmosphere. The room was very big and freshly decorated. Maid came every day and cleaned everything spotless. Also the balcony was big and all balconies had a seaview. The beach and pool area was just beautiful with luxurious feeling.

Big plus for affordable and very tasty roomservice which was in a big use, as there is not many restaurants near by. We liked it as we watched netflix in the evenings. They could have promoted it better and have menus in rooms at all times.

I’m surprised about the complaints about the breakfast, in our opinioin it was a solid 4 star buffet. Something for everyone and good orange juice and cappuchinos.

One of the staff members, called Anna was very active and helpful. She deserves a promotion. Also the woman in the pool bar with light brown hair was very hard working and helpful.

One improvement to make the hotel perfect would be updating the gym.

We rented a quad for 35€ per day to ride around the island. It was such a nice experience!

A Little Slice of Heaven
Reviewed 1 month ago

Stunning beach, great pool, in a quiet, calm setting. The staff here are phenomenal and we never heard anything but "Of course!" to any request. If you are looking for nightlife, this is not the place. This is the place to experience true relaxation. Note that there is an extra charge for hot tub, sauna, and bike rental. Bike rental was 10 euros for a day, which we felt was worth it as the bikes were really good and it was fun to ride around and see the Greek countryside. There are also some amazing "street art" murals painted on some walls about a 10 minute walk away. I included a picture.

Relaxing peaceful place

The location is perfect for relaxing as it looks out on a very unspoiled beach with very little around it. Each evening, we heard the sound of bells as goats were herded across the dirt road by the beach. It is quite isolated but it is possible to walk to a couple of tavernas. Nice breakfasts too.

Lovely views from the Finikas suite over the sea!

We stayed in the Finikas suite and it is genuinely a wonderful place to stay - an apartment with an amazing terrace and hot tub overlooking the sea. Sitting in the hot tub watching the sunset is a wonderful experience! I also had a really excellent massage during our stay.

The hotel has very helpful, accommodating staff and beautiful grounds round the pool. There are quiet beaches in front of the hotel and within walking distance. You would benefit from a car to get to the hotel from the port, though, and to be able to explore the island more.

The only downsides were: the breakfast wasn't as good as I'd hoped for (e.g. not as much fresh fruit as I'd like plus some of the items weren't protected from the flies); and the room didn't have much information at all about the island - although the staff are very willing to help, it would be worth doing your research before you come. Also, certain amenities I'd expect weren't there, like a facility to make hot drinks in the room - although when we asked for this, the staff brought a kettle and cups up to us.
