Feel like a king

This is an absolute beauty to stay in. The hotel is located on top of a hill overseeing a valley. It’s luxurious and has a great restaurant.

Staff is friendly and well trained. They make sure you have a great stay in this old home of a knight. It has this feel of old grandeur mixed with modern comfort. Our room was not perse big, but we had a baby with us which takes some space as well, but the bathroom was.

The gym is alright and provides the necessary basics for a workout.

The pool is great as well as the poolside service.

Wanna endulge yourself? Give yourself a treat and stayhere for a few nights!

Room to be Excellent!

Don't get me wrong, this is a very special place to visit. We were made to feel very welcome. Excellent & friendly staff all the way. It was a last minute plan as we had to change travel plans. We were lucky to still get a room in September. We live overlooking the ocean (Pacific North West) and that is why we did not mind not being by the ocean. It's situated in the most beautiful valley.. you won't even miss the ocean. Congratulations on your 2018 award from WLHA for 'best luxury mountain hotel'.
Not quite excellent, yes and the reason I say that is that I have a sharp eye for attention to detail. There was some shabby-ness showing in wear & tear in furniture, soft furnishings and crockery. Look at the breakfast chairs on the patio, the tassels are just about coming off the cushion trimmings. Some crockery was chipped that we were served on. It just needs to be a little more polished for me to make it excellent. We travel the world and I know why I say this. We loved it and who knows, maybe we will be back one day.
We had dinner with a friend there, the food was very good, in fact excellent. At breakfast the spread is wonderful. When it's hot out one's appetite is not as big to eat all there is to offer.
Spend a day by the hotel pool... or two or three.

Unique!

Admittedly, it is very special to be in rooms that are centuries old. Bed your head in a truly royal ambience, enjoy sweeping views across a dreamy landscape and a romantic garden with a pool, splashing in a cast iron tub, while your partner is chattering on a brocade-related recamière, with wooden windows wide open. Waiting for a moment to serenade you. And then properly scented and equipped with a glass of cava, marching up and down in the suite. The Gran Suite at Gran Hotel Son Net offers this spectacular bathing in an elite being. A spiritual encounter within the world of amenities. "Maria de Napoles" is the name of the stylish space that we are allowed to live in for one night and ad hoc feel we are ennobled as we devoutly listen to the unaccustomed to townspeople morning concert of roosters and donkeys.

The historic Finka of the 17th century is located at the foot of the Tramuntana mountains, just 25 minutes drive from the capital Palma, but far enough away from a Mallorca completely forgotten at that moment. We immerse ourselves in the delightful, romantic world, in which it is so authentic that a return to one's own reality and a busy life seems impossible. At least everything is just forgotten. Here is another rhythm, another story. You can enjoy the very special wines in an appropriate ambience, an impressive antique olive press made of a large stone and a wooden beam forms the center of the hotel's gourmet restaurant Oleum, which still impresses with purple velvet sofas and oversized red vases. Fruit, herbs, vegetables, sheep's cheese and breakfast eggs are also from our own production or the garden.

The Gran Hotel Son Net with its 31 rooms and suites consists of a main and various outbuildings. Before the opening in 1998 all restored in loving detail. The walls today adorn important art, originals by Marc Chagall, Frank Stella, David Hockney or Andy Warhol, everywhere you can find valuable sculptures, vases or even old armor. But that's not the only reason we fell head over heels in love with the Gran Hotel Son net. Maybe it was the luxury, combined with historical elements of a palace. Our evening with wide open windows sitting on the ground, while we let the legs dangle from a French balcony, to said red wine, watching a wedding party, the most beautiful day in the life of two people celebrated. Or was it the unspeakably tender, world-best Angusfilet in the restaurant, which has enchanted our senses, the wonderfully prepared, with regional treats stocked breakfast buffet. The delightful courtyard. The spicy air and the incredible silence? Who knows that already? There are so many reasons to love Son net individually.

A grand classic

I had the great pleasure to visit this Hideaway again. Son Net inspired me just after its opening 20 years ago, and it still does today. The manor house is romantically situated on a hill above Puigpunyent (one of the few preserved typical villages on the island). Here time seems to have stopped. Definitively still one of my favorite places to stay on the island.

Wonderful hotel in a spot with magnificent surroundings

Words are not enough to describe this place...we loved hanging out by the pool, enjoying the magnificent breakfast, enjoying coffe or a glass of cava in the garden, yoga in the morning accompanied by the sunrise...we could stay for longer...
