We are heading down to RP and Las Paloma’s for our 20th time.. at least.. somehow I “liked” a bad review from a person who doesn’t seem to understand Mexico. It’s laid back.. it’s chill.. it’s not a place to DEMAND things .. it’s a place to relax on the beach with a cold beer in your hand. It’s our favorite place for an easy, safe drive to the ocean from Phx. WAY BETTER beaches and water than Cali!! And Las Paloma’s is the BEST by far! Love the beach, beach volleyball, water sports, the temp of the ocean, the fish market, Wrecked at the Reef, happy hour at the swim up bar and so much more!!
Crack a beer, put your toes in the sand and enjoy Puerto Penasco!!

This Condo/Resort was so much more than expected. I have always been a little leery about visiting anywhere in Mexico aside from the major tourist destinations. However, this experience for me was life changing. I felt safe and welcomed. The grounds were so well maintained, the pools, the beaches and lets not forget the food. Every thing i ate was delicious and affordable. Happy hour was an added plus. The staff was attentive, rooms were high end and convenience store on site had everything you needed. Long story short, im looking for info on purchasing a condo. I ate crickets, rode the banana boat, ATV and found a new home away from home.

Stayed at diamanté unit 102 the resort is great they have great security, the servers at the bar Sergio and Ramon were the best, we were in family unit 102 very nice but had a cockroach problem in the unit, the unit next door 103 is abandoned, the patio is trashy and probably the reason for all the bugs, the unit needs to be cleaned up, areal eyesore considering the rest of the resort is kept up so well

Resort Prices, not Resort Service

I usually don't bother with poor reviews but this hotel gets rated number 1 in town and this is the first time I've been disappointed with such a property. On top of that, it was 2 to 3 times more expensive than other properties in town, so it should be held to a pretty high standard.
First, it describes itself as a resort but is really a condo complex that rents out homeowner units. From the moment you arrive to the time you leave, it is clear that the staff isn't concerned about the guest experience. Check-in: told to park anywhere - nobody offered to help with luggage. Front desk way understaffed with crowds in front at all times. Lengthy check-in process which mostly involved making sure I knew I was responsible for any damages. No overview of facilities; no concierge service; nobody to answer any questions; no welcome at all!
Despite touting their golf facility, it seems disconnected from the resort. A fence separates the two properties, so you have to exit the resort to get to the club. Nobody to help with tee times - wait until the pro shop opens! Couldn't even charge the fees to my account.
A couple of mediocre restaurants on the premises with lackluster service. Nobody to recommend places or make arrangements. I had to call on both days of my stay to have the room cleaned - each time around 6 pm, the second time the cleaner didn't even clean the bathroom.
On check out, they wouldn't close the bill until the room was inspected so I had to wait around for that to be done. The clerk didn't ask how I liked my stay, probably because he couldn't care less.
The facility is nice, but there are many similar condo complexes along the beach. I would try someplace else the next time. Premium prices require a premium experience - and they do not deliver.
