X2 Kui Buri Resort
What We Love
- Villas with walls of sliding glass doors that open onto private terraces and gardens
- Indoor and outdoor showers in the guest rooms
- The 200-square-meter swimming pool with ocean views
What To Know
- The flipside of the serene location is that there’s no nightlife nearby
- Large portions of the resort are open-air, which can be a challenge in the rain
- Pets are welcome with an additional charge
- Free WiFi
- Parking On Site
- Room Service
The first resort in the X2 (pronounced “Cross-To”) portfolio, Kui Buri is located on the secluded beach of Ao Noi, between the royal retreat of Hua Hin and the beach resort town of Pranburi. But it’s quite different from the busy resorts in either of those locales, with just 23 high-design villas on four acres. Each of the villas has a private outdoor garden or private pool, as well as indoor and outdoor rain showers. An abundance of mature trees and unimpeded views of the Gulf of Thailand connect guests with nature. The Thai (and Western and fusion) fare in the 4K (“fork”) restaurant and Thai massages on offer in the spa connect guests with local culture.
In the Area
This X2 resort is in the Prachuap Khiri Khan region, an underdeveloped coastal area three hours’ drive from Bangkok and just 30 minutes from Hua Hin, where the Thai royal family decamps when they’re in holiday mode. (Hua Hin is also a center of golf courses and resorts.)
How to Get There
What can I say. Not 1 negative. By far the best hotel resort we have visited in Thailand. Value for money. Professional staff. Breakfast out of this world. Perfect beach. Rooms are fantastic. It’s heaven. Well done everyone that works here. First class !
The resort is pretty remote and difficult to find however the resort its self is first class, the separate lodges are fantastic, excellent wifi and a free smart phone for local use, restaurant service and food first class, resort faces onto a pristine beach with no one around for as far as the eye can see and more importantly no trash on the beach
After the hustle and bustle of Bangkok, it was really pleasant to head out of the city and stay somewhere tranquil to unwind for couple of days!
We arrived at lunchtime and headed for the restaurant. Good selection of food, well presented.
Our room had been beautifully prepared!
Seafront villa with private pool!
I really enjoyed my stay here, the beach is deserted (apart from fishermen in the late afternoon). Mornings no evening walk on the beach, photographing the cute puppies living nearby.
I would stay here again for longer! Much longer.....
Spent a weekend with my family and we had a great quality time and experience!
The location beach front is really amazing, with the very beautiful beach and greenery, that you almost have for you alone.
Then the resort is just magnificent, so design and aesthetically pleasing, you can’t imagine... they have this impressive wall made of cut stones along the pool, a piece of art, so enjoyable to look at. Add to that the gardens, so amazing, you feel like you are in those Japanese kind of gardens, which in addition of being beautiful make the atmosphere peaceful and so relaxing...
Last the service is so amazing, a real 5 star experience, thanks to the great staff and GM of the resort Erik, they are all so involved and driven towards giving their guests the best stay possible!
I really recommend the place for all kind of travels!
The hotel is very nice, clean and beautiful. The room and the pool are so nice with good view over the front beach. Very private and with people with good vibes. Highly recommended it's one of the best place to come. If having to choose between Hua Hun why not come a bit further to stay here. Much much better.
