Cute and quiet boutique hotel in a great location with fantastic staff!

Firstly, i must start by saying that i really disagree with the review below me.
I have just got back from a 4 night stay here also in June, and i could find no reason that this hotel did not deserve all 5 stars (personally).
We were looking for a small cute boutique hotel that we could relax in and walk to local restaurants and that is exactly what we got!
Our room was amazing and spacious. We had the executive room that had a lovely balcony, a living area and a massive bathroom- you get what you pay for!
My only complaint about the room is the pillows were very hard but we still managed to get plenty of sleep.
Breakfast was lovely, full of home-made cakes and the staff were always friendly and chatty and running around trying to ensure all guests were satisfied. Sometimes later on some food was not replenished but that is just because it was towards the end of breakfast.
The poolside was always empty when we saw it, so we had no issue with sun loungers, but we preferred the rooftop and the views which were lovely and the peace of it all. Everything was so quiet!
We even had the staff lady come up and bring us up drinks and snacks.
Never had an issue with towels, always plenty stocked on the side for you to use as you please.
Such a lovely location- plenty of restaurants within a ten minute walk that were lovely!
The manager offered to drop us off at a couple of places in his own car too which was such a nice gesture and the receptionist arranged all of our hotel reservations on our behalf.
No one could have been nicer and we are considering coming back!
Tip: upgrade to an exec room and if ordering lunch order the ravioli...delicious!

Stayed here for 5 nights in June 2019

When we walked in we were greeted well and shown to our room. First impression was this is move and clean. As we started to unpack we realised that the small suitcase stand that was stored in the wardrobe was far too small and there was actually no where to put it in the room. Room 203 was tiny. We ended up standing them up at the side of the bedside tables in the corners of the room. They just about fitted. Then we realised no where to put any wet swimming stuff. Reception told us to use a veranda on the first floor which had a clothes airer. This however proved difficult as the people in the room next to it who had a balcony decided to fill it constantly with hotel towels

Beds and pillows were far too hard. I woke up daily with sore shoulders. I asked for a softer pillow but I still had to fold it in half to get any sort of comfort

Cameras ..... everywhere. Pointing right at you in the dining room, on the roof etc. I started to feel rather uncomfortable. One evening I went down to the dining area to get 2 glasses as none were provided in the room. Within moments of entering the night receptionist was there. Saw what I was doing and said oh OK Surely if he was watching it was obvious.
It made me feel very uncomfortable

Signs everywhere saying you could not eat or drink by the pool or on the roof unless you had purchased the beverages from the hotel

Walls were very thin. Woken by flushing toilets each morning

Breakfast average. If you arrived after 9 some things were not replenished even though they said it was served until 10.30. They started clearing away before 10. When on my hard earned holiday I don’t want to be eating at 8am

Staff were actually very aloof the only time I saw any interaction was by the breakfast ladies if any babies were around

The pool area was quite small so we did not try it as the beds were always full

The jacuzzis on the roof were lovely and it was very pleasant. Only downside was I asked for towels as normally there was a pile on a chair and one member of staff tried to charge me

Nice big free car park which is unusual in Italy

The advertising team have done a good job with photo shop. On booking.com it looks as if it is standalone whereas it’s in the middle of a housing estate

Overall an average stay in an overrated hotel.

We had a wonderful stay here. The hotel is immaculately kept, and the staff are all so friendly. The whole ambiance was very calm and relaxed, which made it a very peaceful holiday, but within easy drive of villages and beaches, or a short stroll to many lovely restaurants. Franca and Tomasina's breakfast is amazing. We look forward to returning.
