When you’re not in the Mediterranean Sea below this 102-room resort, you’ll be staring at it, whether from your own balcony, the 32,300 square foot sun terrace, or one of the two restaurants offering panoramic views. Le Piscine serves a Mediterranean buffet and grilled specialties, while Zafferano concentrates on local Sardinian cuisine paired with a little something from its wine cellar. Then of course there are the five pools (with kid’s areas and a Jacuzzi), a spa mixing Eastern and Western healing traditions and a kitted out stretch of private sand. Pull up a beach chair and a campari and you’re ready to start vacationing, Italian-style.
In the Area
The compound is just a few kilometers outside the village of Porto Cervo, which is famed for its lovely main square, the Piazzetta, and smack in the middle of the Costa Smeralda – a perfect location for beach-hopping up and down the coast. This is a land that insists its dolce far niente, but if you must do something active, the Pevero Golf Club, tennis courts and the Centro Ippico Shergan polo club are all a few minutes drive away, and hotel staff can arrange excursions for mountain biking, diving, sailing and deep sea fishing.
How to Get There
I was there from 29 Sept. to 2nd Oct for a romantic week end . A friend of mine booked for me a double room for 3 nights. It was fantastic, we had really a luxury experience , on our arrival at the reception they informed us that we have an upgrade room , it was a suite, with all modern comfort. The first evening was the birthday of my girlfriend we had dinner in hotel it was really romantic, The food was excellent and the service very professional. The location of this 5 star hotel is fantastic, very quite and with a wonderful view. All the staff was very attentive to our need. They exceeded our expectation. I will come back in this hotel and will reccomend it to all our friend.
We enjoyed our 5 nights at this hotel, awesome service from staff who could not do more to make the experience more enjoyable. This comes at a price, remember you will be staying in Costa Smeralda, the playground of Billionaires, luxury here comes at a high price but it is all done very well. Special thanks to Jessica, Alessio and all the restaurant staff.
This is nice hotel with lovely surroundings with a few shortcomings. Breakfast is decent but you face a battle with the wasps for the food. It’s an issue that seems to belong just to the hotel as I rarely found another wasp on the island.
The buffet dinner was always fully booked due to those on a package holiday otherwise it was the nice, but highly priced gourmet restaurant. The concierge was very helpful and suggested some very good local restaurants.
The private beach is a short stroll and easy to find. Swimming pool very nice and complex of mini pools very pretty and great area to chill.
Everything about the hotel was perfect but the stand out was the amazing services. Very rare to find a place these days with such amazing staff, giving exceptionally warm service. Will definitely be back and recommend to all!
The service we received from all employees was absolutely top class.
The rooms, although slightly dated in style were spotlessly clean, came with great proper sized shower gel, shampoo and conditioner etc with lovely robes and a great turn down service.
The pool area is great, lots of comfortable sunbeds and we liked the option to go to the beach as well. There are a couple of beach options close by and the hotel will take you to them in a golf cart or they're no more than an 8 min walk.
We had massages at the Wellness centre - Sara who was our therapist was excellent, we both agreed we had some of the best massages we've had in a long time. If we were staying for longer we would have booked in for another one.
We didn't eat at any of the restaurants for lunch or dinner. Breakfast was good although the one thing I think that needs to be changed is the coffee. The coffee was pretty bad and I tried it served a couple of different ways. The bar service was good, although drinks are expensive (although so is anywhere in that part of Sardinia).
The 20% discount card for guests was a great touch, something we have never received at any other hotel.
