Enjoyable stay

Our first holiday for a while thanks to relocation. Chose Mon Port after reading good reviews.
We were in block 4 which is up the slope and not overlooking the pool. Our room 4201 on the 2nd floor was peaceful and quiet throughout our stay. Like other reviewers have said the room could do with a makeover. Climbing into a bath to take a shower is a little old school nowadays, a block by block overhaul could be the thing. Don't forget your insect repellent though as every night we were pestered by mosquitoes. Think they were breeding in the air con as rare to see them elsewhere on our stay. Rooms are not wholly soundproof when we were introduced to our neighbours below! Beds were comfortable and sleeping wasn't a problem.

Breakfasts really good along with wide choice although didn't always have Salmon available. We decided to have a relaxing holiday for a change so worked our way through the pool bar menu at lunchtime. We did eat dinner twice in the hotel otherwise the rest of the week eat out.

There is a Supermarket about 5mins walk from the hotel. Further shops and amenities are 10 or so mins walk with larger Supermarkets, bars and restaurants.

Excursions can be arranged but we didn't bother as not much took our fancy. Didn't try any of the hotel family facilities other than the pool. Must say the pool attendant is an exceptional member of the hotel staff.

Would stay here again but perhaps after we have visited everywhere else that we want to do.

The Perfect Retreat!

We were due to fly to Antigua for 2 weeks for our 20th Wedding Anniversary when my husband was unexpectedly diagnosed with cancer. The holiday had to be cancelled, operation was speedy and thank goodness a success. So.. our life has been on hold and within 6 weeks we were signed off to fly short haul only and needed somewhere quiet and tranquil after all we had been through.
We searched for ‘luxury hotel & Spa’ in Spain and found Mon Port. With only a week to prepare, we booked direct and oh my goodness, what a perfect holiday.
The staff were all so very friendly and attentive, particularly the lovely man at the pool (Alien?). Breakfast choice was fantastic with gorgeous seating area outside. The rooms were spacious and clean with comfy beds and air conditioning. A few little things which needed attention, but nothing major.
We lunches by the pool each day, with great choice and walked down to the Port each evening where we had fantastic meals every single night. Again, the local restaurant staff were equally as accommodating.
The small town is so pretty during the day and evening and it is extremely safe to walk back each evening after dinner.
The hotel was tranquil, clean, pretty and so relaxing. We will definitely be back and I would like to say a huge thank you to the staff for making our last minute holiday such a special one 😍

Just Perfect

From the minute we arrived we knew this place was going to be special. At check in we were welcomed by friendly staff who offered us a refreshment which included sparkling wine. At breakfast which was a comprehensive the staff were discreet but attentive, at the lunch restaurant the staff were informative and helpful. When looking for local information the staff went out of their way to give as much advice as possible. The housekeeping seemed to happen inconspicuously but to a high standard. On my birthday I returned to my room to find a bottle of sparkling wine really nice touch. The star of the hotel just has to be the pool attendant he was on the ball helpful and met everyone's needs. It was a pleasure to be welcomed to the pool by him nothing was too much problem and employee the hotel should be proud of him. On check out the night reception gentleman was efficient and helpful. The gardens were well maintained and we loved seeing the rabbits in the garden early in the morning. This hotel location and facilities speak for itself but I cant state it often enough what makes this place just perfect is the consistent friendly helpful staff. We cant wait to return

Lovely stay

We stayed in a double room which was located on the ground floor, looking on to a lovely pool area wth plenty of loungers. Rooms were ok, I would say they could do with a bit of an update - shower in bath a bit old fashioned. Bed large and comfortable and TV has quite a few English channels, WiFi works really well, breakfast was nice and the staff are very good at their jobs, polite and friendly. 10 minute walk to the centre, enjoyed our stay here and would be happy to return. Only negative really was the spa area as a lot of it wasn't working - steam room, some if the jets in the pool and a couple of the showers also wasn't workImg.
