Aparthotel La Pérgola’s bright-white cluster of apartments and villas is set in palm-filled grounds, with balustraded balconies overlooking a central landscaped swimming pool. Recently refurbished, it offers a typically warm Mallorcan welcome. It sits a short walk from a chic sailing club with a lively marina and across the bay from upmarket Port d’Andratx, so you’re perfectly poised for a relaxing or activity-filled break.
At this TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence winner, studios and apartments are done up in neutral tones, with modern furniture and the odd quirky artwork thrown in. There’s complimentary use of an outdoor pool, plus a mosaic-lined heated indoor pool with Jacuzzi and sauna for the cooler months, plus a brand-new gym and piano bar. But don’t feel obligated to stick around – if you want to rent a car for some exploring, you’ll can take advantage of the complimentary parking at the hotel.
How to Get There
The apartment was well furnished and clean, the pool had good security, and looked very clean. The restaurant had a good range of food, but the serving times were 1800 to 2000, and it was all buffet style, and seemed a bit of a race to get dishes, and it was cold
Having read the reviews and on arrival was so excited to be staying. Reception was gorgeous, stylish and modern. We had booked a one bedroom superior apartment. We had to wait a few minutes after check in for someone to take us to our room.
On arrival, a little surprised as the difference to reception, our room was very dated and could have done with a deep clean.
The table and chair on the balcony were hopeless, so hard, and the table far too small to eat from. After we filled in a feedback sheet midweek these were changed! Which made such a difference.
On arrival you get soap, tissues, shower cap, once these are gone they are not replaced. I had to go to reception to ask for more. Also no tea and coffee provided, so make sure you take your own.
Breakfast was lovely with a good choice which is frequently topped up, the tea and coffee machine makes lukewarm drinks, we just popped ours in the microwave to heat them up. We also ate in the first night in a buy one get one free and the food was gorgeous.
As we checked out we were asked how was our stay, I said that we were disappointed in our room, I was told I should have said something on arrival, so I asked did they have better superior rooms, he was not going to comment on this and just told me it was my fault as I should have said something; in the end he shouted at me!
It was such a pity as the resort is lovely, but for us we will not revisit La Pergola, I don’t like being shouted at.
This is the second time this year that we have stayed in this lovely hotel. It seems constantly improving and provides an excellent all round service from the welcome you receive from the reception staff, especially Pedro and Daniel who could not have been more helpful with all our needs and enquiries. The hotel is kept beautifully clean and we would like to give special thanks to Trinidad who has kept our room (506) so perfect for both our last stays. We have no hesitation in recommending this hotel which is made ideal by its staff and location. Until next time, many thanks to all the staff.
