A view to die for with excellent service
Reviewed 3 days ago

I have stayed in this hotel about 15 times for business, including one week of vacation with my spouse. The rooms are always clean and have always been tastefully decorated. The view towards the ocean is magnificent. The breakfast is very nice - strawberries, good yoghurt and absolutely wonderful bread. The pain d'saison is the best bread I have ever tasted (with figs and hazel nuts). The bar has a good selection of local beers and they always come with nicely prepared snacks. The spa has a nice salt water pool with jets and the steam sauna has eucalyptus aroma which is very soothing and feels like it clears the airways in a magical way.

The personnel are all very good at English and can always help us out with our needs. For instance, we have left early to catch flights in Paris and the personnel specifically prepared breakfast bags to-go for us. The personnel is the absolutely best thing about the hotel, and they are top quality. All together it feels like a 5 star hotel to me.

We only stayed for one night. Will stay longer next time. The spa is fabulous, the hotel is perfectly located with excellent views across the bay. Restaurants, cafes and bars are all walking distance. Nice little casino across the road. Our room was a deluxe, separate lounge, patio doors that led onto a communal sea view terrace. If you want a private balcony you would have to book a second floor (or higher) room. The bed was really comfortable. The service at the hotel was very good. The only disappointment was the restaurant was fully booked. Would recommend booking in advance if you want to eat at the hotel.

Great local, lovely hotel

Loved the small town and resort and the hotel was excellent. Polite staff, very clean and good to have 'fridge, kettle and quiet air con in room. Worth getting a room with sea view. Very relaxing stay.

Beautiful Beachfront Brittany spa/hotel with amazing views & beautiful rooms

We enjoyed our trip to the beautiful Brittany coast. The town of Val Saint Andre is picturesque and this spa/hotel faces right onto the beach. This classic hotel felt like it had been recently updated. Indoor spa pool. Our room was very large with a separate sitting room/fold out bed for our daughter. Bathroom had nice shower and heated drying rack. In/room coffee hutch and Refrig. Wifi. Restaurant is amazing and of course you should try the spa services Many great restaurants and shops in the town. Golf course nearby. We loved this break from the hustle of Paris. Waking up to the beautiful view and sound of the waves. If you have a car / 1-2 hour drive the the amazing Mount Saint Michel. Very friendly staff and lots of parking on site. We visited in June before the busy July/August season. Weather wasn't super warm each day but was very nice most days!

Dangerous showers
Reviewed 12 months ago

We stayed recently with our 6 year old daughter. On the second day having had a disastrous shower experience with the mixer losing the cold water so scalding occurred we notified reception when going down to breakfast.
The receptionist said the shower in her room did the same...
When returning from our day put we questioned reception as to whether the problem was fixed.
We were told it was. Went back to the room tried the shower. Clearly it was not.
I asked for a room change and we were changed into another garden room. Same problem.
Notified reception again.
Although the hotel was not at capacity another room change was refused.
So, I can only suggest staying somewhere else for the basic safety reason to avoid bring burnt when showering. So Dangerous!
Also the pool was so heavily salted it actually stung our skin.
My hair took three days of conditioning in the bath as the shower wasn't useable! This ruined what should have been a completely relaxing stay for us following a particularly stressful time for us.

Can only recommend you stay somewhere else. Dangerous showers never acceptable.
