How to Get There
Our room was superb - we had a sea view corner suite with a nice balcony and the most comfortable bed I have ever slept in - best sleep I’ve had for a long time! The hotel was immaculately clean everywhere. The breakfast was superb with so much choice and kudos to the ‘omelette chefs’! We did not use the pool area - actually this would be our only complaint as the pool area was quite small with the beds very close together and had the usual holiday problem of guests putting their towels on the sunbeds early morning and then disappearing off.
Had such a memorable stay here at the end of July... we had a cancelled flight going from London to Palma on our arrival day and had to rebook our flight for the following day. Called the hotel to inform them we would be a day late, not a problem. Received a lovely friendly email from Michel with changed dates. We also extended our stay because of the delays, and I’m so glad we did. From the moment we checked in until the day we left, we felt so very relaxed. Check-in itself was probably the best check in I’ve experienced. So polite and professional, and a welcome drink on the terrace awaits you, such a lovely welcome and a great start to our holiday. The hotel itself is gorgeous and such a wonderful location. We had a double room with partial sea view, absolutely stunning. Was a little concerned reading previous reviews about the noise/drunken people at night, but didn’t hear anything troublesome. The buffet breakfast was excellent, so much to choose from. Also, they have a chef cooking eggs to order and wonderful fresh omelettes which were so tasty. We also enjoyed a lovely glass of cava everyday with our fruit. It has a main pool which was never crowded and had plenty of sun beds available... the water was a little chilly and because of this (and for the fantastic views), we spent most of our days on the roof terrace with their dip pool. The only slightly negative point was that it was hard to order drinks/snacks here as it isn’t staffed constantly. Not a massive issue... but worth mentioning. We also visited their indoor pool and jacuzzi, sauna and steam room - very enjoyable. They run 2 restaurants outside the hotel, one directly next door, Mikel & Pintxo, the other an Italian restaurant L’A a few minutes walk away... both were very good and worth a visit. But our favourite restaurant by far was the Garonda restaurant inside the hotel itself. They offer an a la carte menu in the evenings and also a daily set menu. Both were very very good and such a lovely setting sat outside watching the sunset. Staff very attentive and friendly. Our room was cleaned every day and fresh towels given. Complimentary bottle of water left daily and they even gave us a surprise bottle of cava on our first night to celebrate our anniversary, we were so impressed and grateful. As soon as we got home, we were planning our next visit! Cannot recommend it enough... Thank you all at Pure Salt Garonda, we look forward to staying with you again...
We visited Mallorca in July. We stayed at Pure Salt. We were greeted warmly. The check-in was seamless. The guest manager Vanessa must never sleep and must live at the hotel. She was always available to answer questions. She was exceptional. The hotel is located on the beach. It is a great location. There is something that resembles a boardwalk that runs along the beach. Our hotel room had a small patio with a beach view. It was beautiful!
You can rent bicycles, electric scooters, and diesel scooters as well as walk along the boardwalk. Many of the places where you rent diesel scooters require an international drivers license. This is easy to obtain in the US and I recommend getting one before you go if you want to rent a diesel scooter. The hotel has several restaurants. We ate all of them and found the food to be delightful. It also has a pool that overlooks the beach and the boardwalk. It is clean. It has a great view. I would recommend that there be some way to signal if you would like to order from the bar. We went to several places in Spain and always had to track down someone to order food or drinks when we were at the pool. Once you found someone the service was good however in most cases there is not someone that comes by to ask if you are interested in ordering something.
The hotel seems geared towards adults.
We wanted to go to the other side of the island and do the cave tour. The caves are very old and there are crystal-clear lakes in there and they’re beautiful. I suggest buying a ticket ahead of time online. This will ensure your spot at the specific time you want to go. I also suggest going early. As the day goes on it seems to get more crowded. My friends son had visited the island and had told us that he rented a scooter to get around. We rented diesel scooters to drive across the island to see the caves. We are experienced motorcycle riders and did not think this would be difficult. We have rented scooters many times on other islands. This was a more challenging case as you were riding on major highways with semi trucks and at times it was quite windy. I would recommend renting a car to do this instead of a scooter. There is a beautiful Cathedral that you can also visit. The checkout process was seamless. The hotel staff called us a taxi. They were very accommodating. We would stay here again without question if returning to the island.
