How to Get There
We stayed for an extended anniversary celebration and pleased on how they made it special.
Room: We enjoyed the private pool, jacuzzi and the premium bath amenities. We also appreciate the boardgames available in the villa. In terms of privacy, ours is so-so. It is near the restaurant and the path ways to other rooms so we can see a lot of passerby in the window. Convenience wise it is ok. So if you want convenience you may try villa 11 but if you want private ask for other villa.
Food: The servings are big, yummy and cheap. Try the chef's special for something new. Would be great if the cocktail hours are open in the pool side.
Amenities: The beach is bad maybe because of the typhoons. It was compensated by their infinity and private pools though. The place is also drone friendly given you fly it away from the villas. We liked their hanging bridge. It gives a little thrill of adventure. So far there is nothing else you can do aside from eat, sleep and spa. Great if they have in-house activities.
Service: We love the housekeeping for always keeping our room clean and mosquito free. Their night treats also help fill our stomach. The kitchen staff are also friendly and provides good recommendation. The management is also commendable. They ensures all guests are having a great stay. They also took immediate action about our feedback in the reception. Hope the reception area becomes consistent in providing warm and welcoming treatment to all guests.
Anybody dining in eskaya are given a 5 star treatment. From their waiters to their chefs who welcome you heartily in anticipation for your meal. Only to surprise you with wonderful flavors from their tropical fruit juices and smoothies, to a preferred style of cookness with your steaks.
Having dinners in Eskaya makes it very special and romantic evening as the sun sets and the days cool down. You and your loved one will be amazed with how they cook and serve their dishes. Very pleasant taste and just about the right saltiness level for an aspiring fitness buff like me.
I do recommend the:
-The Eskaya Burger (must try)
-Mango Watermelon shake
Our stay was short, however Eskaya made it very meaningful for me and my fiancé. Thus I have decided to book there for the up and coming long weekends. Paradise at its finest, plus being pampered just the right way. That's how I see Eskaya resort.
We stayed at Eskaya for 12 nights at the end of November, for our first time in the Philippines, and it didn’t disappoint!
We had booked an infinity pool sea view villa (#4) which had the most beautiful views, but unfortunately as one of the older villas had some issues with the lights. This was no problem for the staff, and especially Lorna, to arrange for us to move to one of the fabulous sea view Grand Villas (#17). Again with a beautiful view and outdoor area and more space inside then we knew what to do with! All the villas were very private, you couldn’t see another person!
The main pool is beautiful, and it was nice to be able to get drinks and lunch at the swim up bar.
All the food we had was amazing, we had breakfast and lunch at the restaurant every day, and dinner every other night, and we didn’t have one bad meal. Special mention to Anton and Richard for looking after us every evening!
The resort needs a bit of maintenance here and there and we know they have plans to renovate and update but none of that affected our stay.
The best bit of the resort though are the people, Lorna, Eddie (who my husband referred to as ‘my brother’), Anton and Richard to name just a few. Even the owner (who kindly introduced himself) took time out to check on our stay. Everybody here goes above and beyond, thank you for making it so special.
Until next time!
We stayed at multiple resorts on different islands and this one was our favorite for our Family of 5 with 3 younger children, 7 year old twins and a 12 year old. The villa was perfect #19 for us to spread out, it was new, well kept, had a private pool, two TV's and kitchenette. The staff here are extremely friendly and helpful in making the visit pleasant. The kids loved the pool and eating calamari at the swim up bar. They also liked snorkeling out to the outer reef (1/3 mile) We found the food exceptional and reasonably priced for a high end resort. The fish was always fresh and prepared nicely. I would recommend this resort to a family with kids.
This has to be the best hotel on the island for venue, service, and accessibility. Each of the rooms are called villas and they truly are self contained units with each villa having its own pool. We had a Grand Villa which is spacious for 4 people. 2 people can sleep in the bedroom and the other in the day beds off the main living area. The beds are extra firm, the linens have high TC and all the amenities are Bulgari. Towels are thick and thirsty, even the beach towels which they provide so generously. The bathrooms are amazing - the older units are not enclosed in glass, so bugs do fly around as you are dressing/bathing. They provide everything you need, including flip-flops!
The restaurant is excellent - they have the best sinigang we've ever tasted. We only ordered upwards of 30 tureens between all of us in 5 days. We had a chance to eat in town, but this restaurant is probably one of the best in the island. The breakfast buffet has so much choice of the usual breakfast foods but they certainly add a few unexpected delights. The staff - Ruel, Lorna, Reggie are incredible. They made our stay so easy and comfortable and they pampered us so much, we were so sad when we left. Don't bother hiring an outside company for your tours, call the front desk and they will arrange drivers to take you wherever for a very reasonable fee. Danilo is their best driver and he can tell you all about the island. We made our own itinerary and got to see what we wanted. Every staff member at this hotel really wanted to serve you and make you feel pampered. The GM - Mr Bolle was in the property making sure your stay was perfect.
We had a great time and we will be back. Thank you Eskaya for such a memorable stay!
