How to Get There
We want to share our special time we had in Amorita resort.
It was amazing, the staff is so kind and gives a home feeling.
Every time we came back to our room we had a special something from Amorita. The food is very good, the facilities are great, we didn't want to leave.
We chose this resort based on great reviews. And while it delivered on some counts it was left wanting in others.
Good: Great one bedroom sea facing suite. Huge room, living room, shower and dressing area. Large balcony. Showers with abundant hot and cold water. Air cons that work great. Great bed. Pillow menu.
Bad: Balcony locks that fall out, a useless outdoor bath with little privacy and a shedding tree over the bath.
Good: Great Housekeeping, Great restaurant staff, great Spa staff.
Bad:Concierge service that needed reminding and prompting about our ferry tickets.
Good : Free use of kayaks.
Bad: The most abysmmal paddles I have ever used. They are home made and by people who have never held a proper paddle, hopelessly unbalanced and very heavy. Some blades are poorly riveted to the shaft.
Spa: All good. Nice interior. Great staff. Reasonable rates. Clean. Maybe the entrance door could be prettier.
Food: Good mix of local and international food. OK wine list. Good staff. Like the Spanish restaurant.
Would have been nice to have a proper Lechon roasting pit.
Since this is our first trip to Bohol and Panglao I cannot say how this compares with other hotels here. While many things are good, there is still some work to be done if it were to remain No. 1.
We were treated like kings and queens at Amorita. We love Amorita Resort. Food is great. There is so much selection. Breakfast buffet has variety. Rooms and villas are very well-appointed (not too far from the beach or from the pools or from the restaurant). The place is very clean. The staff are so nice. I love their pizzas at the bar/lounge. We will definitely come back again.
We booked this on a recommendation from a friend in Manila. Right from the online booking what amazed me most was the warmth of the caring and friendly staff who were more than willing to accommodate all of our requests. We wanted healthy baked sweet potatoes and the chef make them everyday. Stir fried veggies too, with a different variation always. Notable for their exceptional service, Jomar, Rob, Alain, Leo, Clark and of course the ever smiling Almira who made this stay just like home. Maraming Salamaat Po!
This is my second visit to Amorita. Their renovations are already finish. Overall, my family vacation is very indulgent. It is top notch service from check in to check out. I look forward waking up early to enjoy the sunrise and breakfast selections are superb. Kudos to the chef who does the menu selections for breakfast. The chef assigned to the egg station is very skilled. I appreciate how he cooks my eggs over easy, far more competent than the chefs I've encountered here in manila. The Sea Tree Spa massage is a must try, it is very relaxing. The sunset is equally gorgeous while you take pleasure in sipping mojito/margarita for free for an hour on wednesdays. My mom enjoyed the resort's garden & she highly appreciate the seedlings Nilo Quizon gave her. She's very happy planting it on her garden here in manila. I highly recommend amorita to your family vacation.
