Time stood still

We recently vacationed at El Nido Resorts Apulit Island and it was even better than how we imagined it would be.

During our 3 night stay we felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time. The resort seemed to be fully booked, or close to it, while we were there and even though there was quite a bit going on, especially during the meals, we never felt rushed. They definitely seemed to be properly staffed and while it was busy during meal times the staff never gave off the impression that they were overwhelmed which really helped to maintain a relaxing atmosphere.

The resort offers breakfast, lunch and dinner and quite a few daily activities that are included in the price of your stay. You can also order from a menu, choose to do other excursions or book a massage for an extra charge.

We only chose to do one excursion and that was the snorkeling at Isla Blanca. It was very beautiful there and the snorkeling was a cool experience. Massages were booked 24 hours in advance and we did book a couples massage one of the days we were there. The massage cabana was undergoing renovations so they came right to our room. I requested mine be done on the balcony and they brought in an extra mattress to accommodate that. It was very relaxing to have a massage on the balcony, under the midday sun while hearing the calming waves right below!

One thing any resort can't control is the weather but we really lucked out as it was absolutely perfect during our entire stay. Kayaks and paddle boards were available to use until around 5:30pm or so. We took full advantage of that! Kayaking in the bay was awesome! Swimming at the beach was nice and the pool was incredible. The pool did get a little crowded with kids at times but you have to expect that with there being 20 loft rooms at the resort.

The food service was so good. The type of food seemed to always be changing and they really had a little bit of everything. I'm a picky eater but always left the dining area very full!

There was a TV in the room and WiFi on the island. WiFi didn't seem great in the room but the signal appeared to be fairly strong in the dining area. We really wanted to relax and disconnect on this trip so it wasn't a huge deal for us. Having the Wifi was nice though and at least we were able to check emails and social media. We didn't turn the TV on once... with the view we had from our balcony there was nothing on TV that would have compared:)

The entire staff that we encountered were so great. They were very accommodating and personable. A lot of them always seemed to know if we went on an excursion that day or were out kayaking or snorkeling and would ask how the activity was when they would see us. They remembered our drink choices from the bar and how we may have liked our coffee or tea. Little things like that really set this resort apart from other places that we stayed at in the past.

Special shout out to Chef Sem at the grill station for being so awesome! He was quite personable and remembered what we really liked and would make certain things even when it wasn't offered at the counter. He really went above and beyond and we appreciated that so much!

Dean was great too. This guy seemed to be everywhere! From the van ride from El Nido to the boat transfer then all around the resort, especially the water activities areas. He was even with us on the boat transfer out and the van ride back to El Nido airport. He went with us all the way up to the check in counter at the airport to make sure everything went smoothly. That level of service was truly appreciated as well.

After arriving at the El Nido airport it was also very nice to be able to go to the El Nido Resorts Lounge inside and be in a quieter area of the airport while waiting to board our flight back to Manila. El Nido Resorts really does it right!

Endless wonderful memories

This resort is truly wonderful.

The intense personal attention by the staff in a low key manner matches the extraordinary beauty and tranquility of the location. For an opportunity to reconnect with the natural world and with your inner peace, this is the place to go. The water is clean and clear, the snorkeling is outstanding, the color and assortment of the fish is breathtaking, and the coral continues to offer memorable views. The focus on eco-responsibility is a hallmark of the El Nido resorts, and it's so good to see this in daily practice at the resort at a time when too much of the world has been paying inadequate attention to this matter.

Take our advice, go there!! You would never regret it.

Hauntingly Beautiful Place

We initially had trouble booking with the resort because their booking website wasn't working in China. It was when we arrived Manila that we were able to book (fortunate I'll say).

From there we received prompt communication from the Apulit staff. We couldn't have a seat on the Airswift planes that lands at El nido for our dates so i took a flight to Puerto Princesa and ask for a pickup (Private Pickup= PHP 9000). We drove around 4 hours then reached Taytay port where we were welcomed with drinks and food. We waited around 30 minutes for the other guests to arrived and took the boat to Apulit. The boat trip lasted around 40 minutes (Apulit can have better boats but seems like they are satisfied with the ones the have now). I don't find their boats safe though compared to the Astoria boat i took in Boracay.

Upon arrival at the resort the beauty of the places immediately strikes you at the speed of light! Welcome drinks 10 star service from the start to the end of my stay. Checking requires some time so you'll be sited at the restaurant. With 80-90% of guest being Chinese, Apulit should have given the option to use Union Pay cards anyways take cash or visa and master cards with you.

The cottage room was large enough and features a balcony with sea view. Room makeup service is twice per day (when you go for lunch and dinner). You get a TV with international channels, hot water (no bath tube), the water pressure is quite low. Fresh drinking water jar can be delivered is more is needed (not in bottles like other hotels).

The food was great on the first 2 days but became a little bit repetitive and boring. The resorts has some free activities and paid activities. I did some rappelling, hiking, snorkeling. If you want the best view of the whole resorts, go for the rappelling (beware!!! not suitable for those afraid of heights).

The place is amazing and good for REAL relaxation. The beauty of Apulit and world class service they provide makes them a unique and exquisite location!

I wasn't impressed by the Apulit bar and their play ground (could add more activities). They did organize a great Chinese new year show! lots of cultural and modern dancing!

Leaving was hard though, almost cried! i definitely need to earn more money so i can visit more often. I felt refresh after leaving

When leaving, boat then van to El nido airport (close to 1 hour) everything taken care of plus a sandwich you can eat during the van transfer.

I love it and i believe it could be way better!

Perfect for honeymooners!

We stayed there for four nights. Beautiful resort, attentive staff, great outdoor activities, lovely and clean waterfront rooms.
The resort answered every wish we could have hoped for.
The arrival and departure to and from the resort is to and from El nido is coordinated by the resort, which makes life very easy.

Paradise!! (and world class diving)
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This place really is paradise. It is so beautifully located (remote, no other resorts or people in the area), the sea is so clear blue & green and beatufil decorated (all new cabins with stunning views from the balcony's with cute baby sharks swimming under you) and all in an environmental friendly setting. Everything is perfect arranged, from the super nice welcome by the very friendly staff, to the food (they serverd breakfast, lunch and dinner buffets with so much super delicious food, plenty and different everyday), nice quiet pool and activities they arranged, most free of charge (multiple snorkling trips per day, kayaking, SUPping, hikes, rock climbing, table tennis, badminton, etc). For us, the DIVING was a super experience! There are multiple reefs right in front of the resort, with spectacular visibility of 20-40 meters and so many species of fish and nice corals. They have a Padi dive center with good equipment our dive master was a great guy, very responsible and relaxt! There are no other divers around which is a unique experience and no fishing boats so the area is undisturbed. The water is more clear and warm than El Nido.
The resort was full around Chinese New Year but we barely noticed this, because it is so spacious and so many activities, you barely see other guests except for during the meals (which is still not crowded), it all feels very tranquil. We really didn't want to leave this paradise and hope we can come back one day!! Highly recommend!
