How to Get There
Our room at Aliante Hotel was spacious, immaculate, well appointed and quiet! The king bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The restaurant situation was marginal. The restaurant we chose for dinner turned out to be closed Monday and Tuesday. Our second choice, the Mexican restaurant was also closed although food was available in the adjacent bar (I think NOT). So we ended up at the buffet. Crowded, no wine/beer/cocktail service.
Worse yet, the second morning we were there, prior to leaving, we decided to eat at the $6.95 buffet. It turns out there is an * on the poster board and in little print at the bottom it says * for PLAYERS CLUB members. Of course they DON’T list the actual price for people who don’t want to provide personal info ... $10.95 ... a 50% increase. FORGET the food, enjoy the hotel!
While this hotel is a bit far from the airport and Las Vegas proper, I found the staff to be really helpful and friendly. They were very nice and wanted to do everything they could to accommodate. Great hotel!
The hotel is clean and well maintained. Not only is there a large casino, but they also have a movie theater, and plenty of food options from inexpensive to sit down dinner restaurants. The room had a coffee maker, refrigerator, and a very comfortable bed. There is a comfortable chair and a sitting area with seating built in, similar to a couch but stationary. We had a view of the mountains and the pool, but be aware they check all pool rooms daily for safety checks. If you do not have a pool view room, it is only checked after two consecutive days of not letting housekeeping in to clean. The only issue we had with the room was related to lack of outlets to plug in electronics. Otherwise, we did not hear any noise in the hall. The heat and air conditioning controls has an option for a constant fan if you prefer white noise for sleeping. In order to get to the elevators to the hotel rooms, you must show a room key card. The pool area is nice. It has several cabanas and a hot tub but it was closed during our stay. The reason was inclement weather, but it looks like they are doing some work in the pool area. If the pool is something you really want, it would be best to call first before booking to see if it is open. We were pleasantly surprised with this hotel and will definitely visit again.
I tried to book a room online but could not find a way to indicate that I wanted military rates like most other hotels. I sent a message through Facebook Messenger since it popped up when I visited the page. I simply stated that I couldn't find a way to request military rates. By the way, they boast that they "Salute the Military" and offer 20% discount to military on hotel rooms. No one ever responded to my statement with any kind of answer. Just a generic response stating they received the message and someone would get back to me shortly. Several days later and still now answer. I ended up calling and spoke to someone named Pam. As soon as I mentioned the military rate she became very rude: repeating over and over again that the discounted military rate was no longer available for the days I selected. I explained that I didn't understand what she meant....either you offer a military discount or you don't. She was very snappy with me and I called her out on her rudeness. She argued that she wasn't being rude. Not once did she offer to speak to her manager or try to resolve the matter in a friendly, hospitable way. I again wrote a message through Facebook Messenger explaining the terrible customer service I had just received.....still no response several days later. I went with another hotel that gave me a beautiful suite with a considerable military rate.
Wonderful hotel with incredible rooms for the price. Large restaurant selection and clean modern casino. Staff was friendly and very helpful. No hesitation in recommending this hotel, will definitely stay again.
