How to Get There
We have just returned from a 10 day holiday in Croatia staying at the excellent Hotel Mlini. The rooms are spacious, well appointed and spotlessly clean. All the staff are genuinely friendly and did their best to make our holiday special.
It was our wedding anniversary whilst we were there. When we returned to our room in the evening there were flowers, cake and a bottle of champagne left in the room with compliments from the hotel management a very nice touch and greatly appreciated.
The location of the hotel could not be better, being only a 20 minute taxi ride from either Dubrovnik or Cavtat.
We will certainly be returning to the Hotel Mlini in the future.
It’s summer in Dubrovnik. After a sweltering hot tour in the city, who wouldn’t want to to go back to a cold, comfy room. Not if you’re in Room 100, which is where we were booked. The AC couldn’t cool the room at all during our first night after multiple calls to the reception. After which just to find out from the technician that they’ve had multiple complaints already with regards to this room and they can’t just seem to remedy it. He suggested to us to change rooms. Asked the front desk about it, and we were curtly told, we’re fully booked and to come back the next day when the Chief Room Officer is in to change room. I then mentioned to her that we were checking out tomorrow and had already suffered thru 1 night of HELL (literally) and why would they give someone that room fully knowing the AC doesn’t function well. Just a shrug and an empty sorry but offered nothing more. Thanks but no thanks! What a disappointment.
Since I was staying in the new wing there was no lift so I had to climb the 2 floors. The location is beautiful. Rooms are clean and very good. Breakfast was pretty decent too. It is a nice place to go for a walk. Lovely location
We arrived on 3rd June for 5 nights and had the most wonderful time. This hotel is in the most perfect position to explore beautiful Mlini, very clean and lovely size bedroom as others have said with great views. We had fantastic breakfasts - make sure you know to order from the menu which isn't always displayed on the tables! I had egg royal every morning which was fantastic. Difficult sometimes to get the attention from staff to get coffee and had to ask and sometimes didn't get or they had to make another which took forever! So only criticism would be to focus on customer service in the restaurant area, make sure tables are cleared and set up, that everyone has a breakfast menu and keep more coffee/tea on the go! We also didn't know about the shuttle bus into Dubrovnik so this needs to be communicated more although we enjoyed getting the water taxi everywhere anyway. Recommend climbing the city walls late afternoon as quieter/cooler, had a brilliant time on the 3 island boat trip. Cavtat is a gorgeous day out as was Lokrum to see the wild peacocks/rabbits - and especially if you're into Game of Thrones. Lovely for swimming there also. We eat wonderful food wherever we went. Had my 40th birthday whilst there, returned to our room to find champers and cake - lovely touch! Brilliant break from life, would love to come back one day and have recommended to everyone! Just improve those restaurant issues and all would be perfecto!!
An excellent and beautiful hotel in a magnificent part of Croatia near Dubrovnik.Excellent restaurants and the hotel rooms are beautiful. Close to public transportation and quiet and peaceful. This hotel is fabulous value.
