How to Get There
Room was comfortable & clean. 4 storey building with a beautiful sea view from the balcony. Breakfast spread was good, there is a 50-50 split between indoor & outdoor dining area. Shuttle service is available to see the sights in town during your free time but last pick up is at 7pm. Only down side is, it is situated away from the parking lot or drop off point & you will need to take a 8 mins walk down a lift & a slope to this hotel from it's sister hotel situated above. Luggage was brought to us by porter service to minimise the inconvenice. Will still stay at this hotel if i am back.
We chose this hotel on the back of the Tripadvisor reviews and rating and they were well deserved.
The hotel is just the right size. Not too big, but you have everything you need in the perfect base to explore Dubrobnik and the nearby islands.
We loved to peace and tranquillity and charm of Mlini. A fabulous retreat from the hustle and bustle of the busy streets of Dubrovnik. We loved visiting Dubrovnik and it was so easy to hop on the boat to get there and back. We hadn't realised just how close the harbour was to the hotel.
We also took the boat to Cavtat. Well worth a visit and we highly recommend the restaurant Bugenvila. The best food we had on our holiday.
In previous reviews people were complaining about breakfast, but although we didn't have any food included with our stay at the hotel we did have breakfast there on a number of occasions and found it to be really good. Fresh oj and good coffee and the eggs were cooked perfectly.
We found the staff to be very friendly and helpful and the hotel was spotlessly clean. The cleaners tidied out room up very well ebery day.
We highly recommend this hotel and if we return to the area it will definitely be to this hotel. It has been a fantastic holiday.
Hotel Mlini was fantastic. New decor and furnishings in the room and very clean and well kept. The room we were in overlooked the courtyard and gave an outlook onto the ocean. The hotel staff were helpful in organising transfers to the airport. The spa, sauna and pool are connected to the hotel directly next to the hotel, Hotel Astarea, so there is a short walk to these facilities. There were a few places to eat in a short walking distance to hotel Mlini, but we had to travel by bus to get to a wider range of eating out options in old town Dubrovnik and Cavtat.
I was very suprised for the value of money what i get...first of all....nice room....perfect view....quite place and is not so far away from old town....sweet place with lot of green....just some things i don’t have understand realy about this Hotel....the Hotel is new but should fix some things....first of all the air condition....and few more things about the room....reception desk give the best to help....the reception guy Dean have fix most of them....and thank him a lot....because without him i thing most of the problem will be just “ignore”....people like him i would like to have in my company....special thanks and to the houskeeping....the room was all the time clean....it was a nice stay just can be much better without few things which should fix....
We recently stayed at this hotel and it is exactly as it looks on website. Very welcoming reception staff who were always helpful and friendly. The maid who cleaned our room was amazing she did an excellent job and even had time to make animals from towels!!! The pool area is next door at the Asterea its a very short walk and is as described on the website. Now for the not so good we stayed on a bed/breakfast basis so can't comment on the evening meals but the breakfast was just bizarre!! There is a huge choice cold buffet /cereal/toast however the hot buffet was anything but hot and we gave up on it after day 2!! Breakfast is served from 7am and kept under heat lamps the bacon was like plastic hard as a rock the scrambled egg wasvdried up and the fried eggs were always cold!!! It seemed as tho the hotplate underneath didn't work!! One morning we had onion rings?? Garlic bread??? Not really sure why maybe leftover from then previous night?? Omelettes are available to order I cannot say if people were charged as we didn't order any however that does seem out of order when you have previously paid for breakfast? We have previously stayed at the Hotel Croatia in Cavtat and maybe been spoilt as omelettes made to order there for you at no extra cost!! The manager was stopping guests one day coming out of the breakfast room unfortunately he stopped the couple in front of us so I didn't get a chance to give him this feedback as we left the following day!! It is a lovely hotel in a beautiful location with very pleasent staff it needs some music in the dining/bar area and sadly a review of the breakfast quality.
