The spa and the restaurant are 5 star
Reviewed 6 hours ago

Special mention to Alessie and Stefano who looked after us so well at the spa, I would recommend the treatments. We Alison enjoyed the restaurant, the food every night was a different menu and table service, even under pressure when the restaurant was full the staff were amazing. The hotel staff are very helpful, you do need to get a car and out of season there is no entertainment but a very quiet relaxing atmosphere

Avoid ar all costs. Not 5 star!

In a word - DREADFUL.
The rooms are tired, cheaply furnished and badly serviced by housekeeping staff.
Air-conditioning didn't work in either of the rooms we were given.
Breakfast is included, and while served on the beautiful terrace, is of poor quality so isn't worth it! Concentrated fruit juices in a 5-star resort? Really? This is Sicily - fruit literally grows on trees!
Dinner in the restaurant is like stepping back in time. Abrupt staff, untrained sommelier and 1970's cuisine is not what we were expecting.
We decided to check out early and spoke with the manager to arrange a refund of our last night's accommodation. Point-blank refusal, deferring to the "Accounts Dept" for Blu Hotels, in Palermo. The manager has clearly no idea how to run a hotel, let alone a 5-star resort. He ended up shouting at me in reception! Totally unprofessional. Do not stay here! The town of Mazzara del Vallo is nice enough, but very quiet, plus this resort is a good 15-minute drive away. I would recommend you choose a base on the north (Cefalu is beautiful) or on the east (Taormina or Siracusa - both just wonderful). Avoid here like the plague!

Beautiful place with friendly staff

My husband and I stayed here for one week and its a beautiful hotel the staff were brilliant in particular Jessica, Antonio and Enzo were more than attentive. The reception team organised our transfers to and from the airport, they also organus6ed for us to hire a car as we decided we wanted to explore further afield and Enzo was a brilliant waiter with exeptional service. Would recommend 100%

Need some more attention to details

We've been here with our family and we're too satisfied. the place itself is very nice and could be an amazing place but unfortunately it is not well maintained both in the structure and services (towels of the swimming pool were all broken), Wi-fi is not working (probably was better the old 56kb/s), beach was not properly cleaned etc. Furthermore they left kids playing and shouting all the time in the adults swimming pool, while there a kids pool for them.. only positive side was the personnel which is very welcoming, friendly and helpfull.

Elegant hotel, friendly professional staff, excellent food and facilities

This is a fabulous hotel and we loved our holiday. We arrived very late on a Friday and so had missed dinner but we had been left cold plates of food in our room (they had set a table up with covered plates of crusty bread, cheese and cold cuts).
Our room was huge and tastefully decorated. The bathroom had twin sinks, separate shower & bath and lovely Sicilian toiletries. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff who kept our room spotlessly clean.
The pool area is vast with plenty of sun chairs for all guests - both in the shade and sun. The pool is massive and welcoming.
Just some observations (not negatives please note...)
1) you do need a car as the hotel is in the middle of nowhere and although there is a village a couple of kilometres away it isn’t safe to walk there as there are no pavements
2) the hotel do offer excursions to wine tastings and boat trips but they do not advertise them enough. You have to ask to find out and it would be great to have some leaflets or a notice board readily available for guests to view or flick through. I also think they could arrange day trips to places like Erice which is near Trapani, where for a few euros you can take a cable car to the top of the mountain and visit a wonderful town full of churches, cobbled streets and stunning views all around Trapani.
3) tea and coffee facilities in the room would turn this 5 star hotel into a 5+ star hotel!
Definitely loved this hotel - if you want gourmet food, lazy days by the pool and peaceful nights then this is the place to go.
