Sofitel La Reserva Cardales
What We Love
- Rate includes buffet breakfast
- One-of-a-kind, resort-style complex (there are very few like it in Argentina)
- Out-of-town location means more square feet for your buck than in Buenos Aires
- Unwinding in one of the three pools, spa or bar area
- The size of the property means guests can avoid one another just as easily as they can mingle
- The Argentine capital is an hour away by car or taxi
What To Know
- This is a family-friendly resort
- Too far from Buenos Aires to make daily trips practical
- Avoid the January and February summer high season if you don’t like big crowds around the pools
- Bring what you need with you, as it’s a long way to the nearest pharmacy and stores
- Take particular care if you’re driving here yourself; reckless driving on this route is all too common
- Pair with a city getaway in Buenos Aires
- Free WiFi
- Golf Course
- Handicap Accessible
- Kids Club
- Parking On Site

How to Get There
We invited over 100 people from abroad to Sofitel Cardales. The weather was perfect and the setting was amazing. All our international guests were impressed with the hotel and the views it has.
The service was good and the facilities are outstanding. Would recommend the hotel for any event or city escape.
It was one of our wedding gifts. Firts the staff. Amazing. Since our arrival, we felt truly welcome guests. We are experienced travelers, so I know what I want and expect. Everything was wonderful, the room, the view, the buffet breakfast, the spa, the pool. To our friends thank you! To the hotel management, you are doing a great job.
Where to start from...
This was our second time at this hotel and THE LAST ONE. The first time was ok minor some gastronomical issues which I am not going to detail here.
I must say our experience was decadent, terrible, one of the worst services I have ever experienced in any hotel of the world.
On the good side: LOCATION. The views are amazing, really relaxing.
On the down side: We stayed for 3 nights, for a total of 2000 USD it’s OK, for a 5 star and luxury hotel, which was what we were expecting, the thing is we felt we had been conned.
The SERVICE is awful, I am not exagerating (wish I was).
We had a Junior Suite, with lake view (the view was amazing), the room was dirty, the sofa, chairs and cushions were stained, the chairs at the balcony broken…
The first 2 nights we had to shower with cold water because (and i quote) “the hotel is full and our heating system can’t cope with so many guests showering at the same time, try showering later on at night” WHAT?! really??? that was the explanation we received, and believe me, if you are paying 500 dollars a night you would expect to at least be able to shower with warm water right? the shower was also broken, the water splashed all over. Finally our last night, we were able to shower with warm water.
On the first day we used the complementary coffee left in the room and a diet coke from the mini bar, the next day they didn’t replace them, ok no big deal right? we had to call 5 times in order to get some coffee and the diet coke replaced, they even charged us the two nespresso capsules and 2 tea bags we didn’t even requested.
The FOOD: do not even try eating at any of their restaurants, the food is terrible, just grab your car and drive to the town of cardales (20 minutes) and enjoy a nice meal.
I strongly advise the senior managers of this hotel to take an internship in the four seasons or Intercontinental, maybe they will learn something about hospitality and professional services. It is a disgrace that the Accor Group allows this property to use the name Sofitel.
It is a 2 maybe 3 star hotel with the prices of a luxury hotel.
