Wellnesshotel Golf Panorama
What We Love
- Pristine views of the Alps from the 18-hole golf course
- A 21,500-square-foot wellness zone with two saunas, a steam room, a pool and a saltwater outdoor Jacuzzi
- Attentive but relaxed service to pamper and re-energize you
What To Know
- Access to the spa is an additional $44 per day
- Bathing suits are not allowed in the sauna and steam rooms. You can wrap a towel around you to cover up, but other guests may not
- Families are welcome, but kids 12 and under are allowed in the pool only between 9 and 11 a.m.
- It's remote (an hour's drive from Zurich); great for getting away from it all but not suited for those who want lots of restaurant and entertainment options close by

- Room Service
The ground floor lobby is a Zen ensemble of pale brown, taupe and cream, with roomy brown leather chairs and long blocks of light wood topped by green pillows that serve as rustic benches. One entire wall is pure stone covered by a rectangle of green — a luscious living wall plant. Floor-to-ceiling windows showcase the meadows and forest that surround the property.
Bed and Bath
Guestrooms are a mix of cream walls, modern beds with crisp white duvets, chocolate-brown wood furnishings and flat-screen TVs. All bathrooms feature rain showers and follow the same style with brown and white tile accents. Thoughtful touches such as backpacks and spa baskets in each room ensure that you can head out for a walk or pop down to the spa area without a second thought. All rooms are styled in the same way, but Junior Suites are more spacious, with free-standing white tubs in addition to the showers, and they offer balconies with views of the golf course. Comfort Rooms with balconies face the meadow and forest, and Comfort Rooms without balconies offer floor-to-ceiling windows.
The sumptuous restaurant, Lion d’Or, serves regional specialties including local cheeses and fresh-pressed apple cider. The adjoining bar and lounge offers live music, from mellow tunes on the grand piano to performances by local bands. The main draw is the mammoth 21,500-square-foot wellness zone, home to two saunas, a steam room, a pool and a saltwater outdoor Jacuzzi. The spa menu is extensive; indulge in an aromatherapy massage using apple blossom oil or an energizing post-golf treatment.
In the Area
The landscape around the hotel is a mix of manicured golf course and rolling hills and forests. You can opt for a bike ride or walk: Mountain and electric bikes are available to rent, and the front desk has maps with local walking and hiking trails, from soft one-hour strolls to full three-hour hikes. Or hit the 18-hole golf course and enjoy a day out on the greens with views of the Swiss Alps beyond. The hotel is a 20-minute drive from Lake Constance, which touches Switzerland, Germany and Austria. Drive across the water to Konstanz, a German university town with a pretty harbor and an impressive cathedral with a tower overlooking the lake. The property is around an hour’s drive from Zurich.
How to Get There
The hotel is beautifully embedded into the landscape of Thurgau and provides a wonderful view onto the alps and the nearby Golf court.
the rooms are spacy, very clean and nicely furnished. the service is great, especially the breakfast buffet is great. I stayed for business, and can only recommend this hotel.
We arrived late, but never the less we were really able to enjoy this Hotel. The staff was exceptionally friendly, in all stations. lobby, bar and restaurant. The rooms are modern and very nice and at least some of the rooms have an outside sitting area for those that like to sit outside and enjoy clean air or do smoke. The food at the restaurant was very good
Stayed here for one night. Initial room was a Standard room with a not so nice view to the backside of the Hotel. Changed room and this one was better with a great view. Tried gym and wellness which was fine. Restaurant service can be improved.
I've arrived to hotel with some clients, they all where supprised from the great hotel!
The only bad thing about this hotel is the standard rooms - they dont have aircondition and it;s hot in the summer
but the hotel is amazing, they gave us fans for making better the feeling, not really helping much
eventough, the stay was PERFECT!
we booked a panorama suite with a golf package.
the recpetion was friendly however missed to provide the golf vouchers for the second day play.
when we realized in the morning before play, the lady at reception was rude and clearly not service oriented...(sorry, it was their fault not to provide us the vouchers earlier...)
the dinner was not worth the hype..
we pre-booked a table and expected as suite guests of the hotel to be seated at the railings with a view. nops, they sat us smack in the middle...
the service was very slow and clearly not coping with all the tables...
the wine took ages to arrive.
the food quality was good but ordered vegetables arrived when the main course was eaten....
te brakefast buffet is ok, but its all self service, including getting your tea....
all in all to expensive for what you get...
