Been there, done that in Greece? Bypass the tourist trail and explore some of the country’s inland treasures with a stay at Villa Vager, a charming retreat in the Peloponnese with breathtaking views of lush mountains, hilltop villages and pine forest from an altitude of 900 meters. The inmate escape is home to just 10 rooms, all decked out with exposed stone walls, beam ceilings, dark furnishings and characterful features like cozy fireplaces, lanterns and antiques. All bathrooms come with underfloor heating, bathrobes and Molton Brown toiletries. A homemade breakfast buffet is served daily and is laden with Greek produce including thick yogurt, honey, olive bread, kaseri cheese and strong Greek coffee. There’s no restaurant onsite but there are traditional tavernas within walking distance in the village of Levidi. The hotels’s star attraction is a giant alfresco hot tub, positioned to take in the awesome views of the surrounding countryside.

How to Get There
We fell in love with this lovely boutique hotel. Such style and thought in every way.
It’s hard to find but so worth it when you do. Stunning views and wonderful service.
Like a home from home. Highly recommend
We had a short one-night stayover at VV in the honeymoon suite. Waking up to the gorgeous panoramic sunrise view over the valley, I wouldn’t have minded a few more sunrises there. Amazing breakfast with fresh squeezed orange juice and wonderful warm and friendly service. The villa is restored and decorated with great style and a wonderful collection of interesting pieces.
A beautiful well maintained and decorated hotel in a stunning location. Our room was perfect with a comfortable bed and beautiful en suite shower room with the added luxury of motion brown toiletries. Nikolaus and his team were so friendly warm and welcoming such a relaxing atmosphere. The breakfast was amazing such a wide choice and delivered with lots of smiles. There is a lot to see in the area beautiful mountain villages historical sites and a fantastic walk in the gorge with a monastery built into a cliff face. I totally disagree with a previous review where it states that this hotel is in the middle of nowhere it definitely isn’t. We ate at a taverna in the town square on 2 nights that’s how good the food was and the locals are so warm and welcoming too. On our last night we ate a delicious pizza at the hotel washed down with very good red wine I recommend their home made pizza. I have such fond memories of our stay and hope to return one day
