How to Get There
We have stayed here a few times, my boyfriend way more than me and it's beautiful. He loves the two golf courses. Service does need to improve as at times you can wait a while for your food/drinks/rooms cleaned. Even at times the bell hop at the front doesn't seem to want to help with luggage. On a different visit, it was cool and we feel fires should have be going for the ambiance, fire tables outside should be going to make it look more inviting and heaters on so people can enjoy the deck with the amazing view. That would have made it so much more inviting. We have had good service on some visits but it's not consistent. It is still a resort that we will go to because of the golf. For a 5 star resort and for the cost - you should always receive exceptional service. Our last visit we did have a waitress at breakfast that was amazing - she kept continual contact to ensure we had all we needed. I also had great service at the spa and Service at golf pro shop is always great too. Just wish it was like that in all areas.
We've been to this resort quite a few times in the past ten years. This was one of our favorite visits- the rooms have been updated with new furnishings, staff and service were fantastic and the hotel has been kept up well.
The visit was incredibly lovely and we can't wait to return.
I stayed here while on a two week residency at Royal Roads University. My original room was overlooking the parking lot - I wasn't happy about that - I asked to be moved and they happily moved me to a room across the hall with a beautiful view of the golf course and mountains. The front desk representative was very happy to move me. That was great except the room was above the lounge. It was fairly noisy on Thursday and throughout the weekend. I've also learned that weddings are popular at the Westin. The three weddings during my stay there made for difficult studying and little sleep.
I loved the staff and the hotel location and amenities.
I would recommend staying there just not during wedding season...or request the Fairways building as I was told it was quieter.
Spent the week in the main building. The hotel staff was great, food was very good and the room and view of the course was amazing. Liked the close access to the liquor store and pool facility. Hopefully on next stay can play a round!
This was our hotel booked after a 9hr flight and then a ferry ride. It was a long drive after the ferry on unfamiliar roads so a closer hotel to Victoria would have been better, but after saying that it was a beautiful hotel and really big rooms and beds. The bathroom was large with a massive shower too. Also a lovely private patio to sit and relax in. The only fault with our room was it was next to some kind of air conditioning unit that was very noisy even through the night. The on-site restaurants were good too and the outdoor pool and hot tub were excellent. We couldn’t fault the hotel except you did need to drive a long way to get to Victoria if you were staying there to play golf this would not be a problem. Staff were very helpful especially the girl on the desk that got me a few proper English teabags I was really missing my cup of tea as they only had green tea. All in all this was a lovely place to stay.
