Hotel experience .

Hotel now in need of a facelift. Been here numerous times in the past but now looking tired. Wi fi unavailable
Most of the time and booster in room did not work, reported daily but not sorted ended up costing money. Food was a great selection but at times was barely warm ,hot plates underneath not warm at all.
But would recommend this hotel every time but not for older children as not enough to do to keep them happy
The location is superb for the beach and short walk into town.

Checked in by grumpy Male clerk. Back rooms terrible because of birds nests and view. Food ok.Entertainment rubbish.Hotels on seafront automatically get a star so this hotel should be 3 at most. Needs refurb badly. Most of the staff very nice. There is better hotels in the area ( and cheaper ) so look closer and check out reviews on Google.

It’s lovely- don’t be put off by bad reviews!!

My goodness, if I had been able to cancel prior to arrival I probably would have based on all the negative reviews for this great hotel. So glad I couldn’t and didn’t. We are currently staying here (room 444) and I really can’t find a thing wrong with this hotel. First off, we were checked in efficiently and with a smile half an hour before “official” check in time, and were delighted with our room. I guess it must be one of the refurbished ones. Big, more wardrobe and drawer space than most hotels made unpacking easy. Super bathroom with plenty of room for toiletries and a decent bath/shower. And the towels are NOT threadbare - certainly large, just not the extra thick ones that I find are not so effective for drying oneself, so no complaints there. The air conditioning works really well, so all very good with the room. Pool area pleasant, plenty of sun beds, and the location is wonderful, right on a really beautiful beach (which on a weekday in June is pretty much deserted). And now to the many complaints about the food ... we think it is LOVELY! Not just okay but really nice. Freshly cooked eggs and bacon for breakfast has been my pick. Lunches and dinners - always so much choice it’s been difficult knowing what to have. Fresh asparagus with Parmesan as a starter...grilled veal, venison ragout, fresh fish, braised duck, and fantastic oven baked sliced potatoes that are irresistible but not good for the waistline.... different things each meal, and certainly not cheap or poor quality ingredients. I guess if what you want is pizza, burger and chips then you might struggle (although there are chips available) but this is excellent Mediterranean food, properly cooked and plentiful. The wine is perfectly okay and my husband says the beer isn’t bad. All staff have been nice. And on top of all this, it is fantastic value for all inclusive. Come here with an open mind. We’ve travelled a lot and can only comment on how it’s been for us, but I’d say ten out of ten. Oh and the area is lovely, low rise, with some beautiful houses nearby.

Good location, that's about it.

I stayed here for three nights. I booked a single room which was smelly, grotty, dark and not overly clean. Maybe double rooms are better. I didn't eat here so cannot comment on the food. The staff on reception (the man in particular) weren't overly friendly or helpful. Great location but that's about it. I wouldn't recommend this place.

The hotel from Hell, do not go there

1 night stay here was horrendous. We were welcomed by an ignorant Russian gentleman called Raytco (who later I found out to be the Manager of the reception) we were meeting friends in the afternoon and again at night. We asked for a nice room which he just grunted. We got our room 356 and just left our cases we did notice that the no towels were left and we quickly seen a housemaid in the corridor and she brought us towels. They were threadbare !!
We returned around 6pm, we went to sit on the balcony before having a shower. To our disgust what we seen was birds excrement (photos attached) all over the balcony which had been there for some time, disgusting and a health hazard, also stale cheese left in fridge. We had a shower and left the room. We went to reception spoke to Daphne, she said we must speak in the morning with her Manager. We met Monica in the morning she was disgusted and appalled, she offered to get it cleaned up however, it was far too late as we were leaving to go down to Marbella. She apologised profusely and asked what can she offer to help, a late checkout or a meal, which was no good to us. She said you can meet my Manager. I met with Raytco he was rude abrupt and aggressive in front of people, I told him I would put the photos on trip advisor, he slammed down pen and walked away from me, utter humiliating. I checked out Monica apologised for his behaviour, she was so frightened she wouldn’t give me his name. This man should not be allowed in public. He is an aggressive ignorant bully and needs to be disciplined by his seniors. I will also be writing to his General Manager to make him aware. I have never experienced this behaviour anywhere in the world. We have a house in Nerja and have spent a lot of years here in Spain, we have found the Spanish people to be friendly and helpful. Don’t be put of coming to Spain, just don’t go to this hotel.
