Paradise previously lost, now refound (Thank goodness)

This was my wife's and my 7th trip here, beginning in 1997. Last here September 2017. Lots of little issues then. To our great relief things are great again. The property continues to be maintained immaculately, with lovely landscaping. Our Junior Beach Suite was in fine working order, with a separate sitting area, large bath/shower/tub, and small kitchenette. The daily maid service kept it sparkling. The staff at the resort were, as always, very friendly and accommodating. Many new faces on the staff at all levels, which I feel has been a real plus. The diving with Great Adventures 'is truly "concierge", and could not be easier- just walk to the dive shop and boat a few steps from your room. 82 degree water, calm seas, and breathing in pressurized air at a lovely dive site. Dive team truly professionals and enjoy what they are doing. This is what it is all about. The food at LaBalandra restaurant right on the beach has greatly improved. I will write a separate review for it.
So will we continue to come back? The fact that we are frequent customers, as were several other couples there, speaks volumes. Of course we will come back, but hopefully for more than a week. I must add one thing, making reservations could not be easier. Lourdes in south Florida is a gem. Just give her a call.

Perfect resort

We just loved Harbour Village in every way. Our one bedroom deluxe oceanfront was very comfortable and had everything that we could want. We are fussy travelers and do expect the best. We got it here. Management cared about our comfort and the staff was extremely helpful. The beach is terrific, clean and comfortable in every way. This resort is well located with a private beach and wonderful on site restaurant.

Great resort but sub par restaurant

I still rate this resort 5 star despite the experience we had at the restaurant. It is a beautiful venue, they just need to hire a better cook. The resort grounds were pristine with a nice beach. Comfortable furnishings, not too crowded, and great dive staff.

Dive vacation

We went to Bonaire expecting the diving to be great, but expected the resort and the island of Bonaire to be average. The diving WAS great, as expected. But life above water was certainly not average! We LOVED the resort and Bonaire! This boutique hotel is one of the best places we have ever stayed. The service was outstanding, as were the amenities and food. There is SO much to see on Bonaire! Flamingos, parrots, mangroves, scenery, you name it! In town, we found some great restaurants as well. We WILL be back next year!!!

A week in Paradise for 8 friends
Reviewed 1 week ago

Our group of eight friends, all over 63 and up to 75 years old, arrived for a week’s holiday on my insistence. I used to travel often to the island with my children back in the day and although I had not been back in 30 years Bonaire did not disappoint and my choice of hotel less so.
Harbour Point proved to be a realm of tranquility and understated luxury. Our house was clean and super comfortable. The beach was on our doorstep and the waters were teeming with fish so snorkelling was wonderful. The Balandra restaurant offered great food and the staff were fantastic. Three of us went diving every day from the hotel pier to explore the submarine wonders that Bonaire still manages to keep practically intact.
Harbour Village exceeded my expectations and I’m sure some of us will be back if not all! We loved it.
