A fantastic Oasis

The Oberoi is a little hidden Oasis in the middle of a Big and noisy City , Kolkata. Once you get inside you go into another World. All the people working there are just trying to give you a wonderfull time. The pool area is beautifull too.
I Can only recommand this place.

Magnificent Hotel with Superb Staff

Had a twin share deluxe double, very well appointed with no complaints whatsoever.
Very good bathroom with excellent toiletries, bath robe, cannot fault anything.
The Oberoi abundantly exudes charm, warmth and character throughout the entire hotel. The staff are just simply amazing, the breakfast buffet is simply fantastic and exemplifies what this Luxury hotel can produce. I can only say, if you can afford to stay here, don't hesitate as it's an unforgettable Oberoi experience that you're unlikely to forget in a hurry.

Luxurious home away from home

The Oberoi Grand is located in the heart of the city. The cacophony of the hawkers just outside the hotel is a bit annoying but once you enter the hotel you're bowled over by its old world charm.
The well-trained staff like Nabeel and Sandhya go out of their way to make you comfortable. Rooms are clean and beds super comfy with duck down pillows, thanks to Agnes John of housekeeping and her crew, including Biswajeet.
The buffet breakfast has a wide variety of dishes and the menu changes every day. The food in the Thai restaurant was excellent.
Another plus point ( and I think this is what other hotels should also emulate) is that you don't have to tip the staff. They have a central tipping system and you can contribute towards this at the end of your stay.
The multi-lingual, dapper GM, Sumit Joshi deserves kudos for running a fine hotel with wonderful staff.
This is truly a 'Grand' hotel and I look forward to staying there again.
