The Lowdown

The upscale resort of Kitzbühel is Austria’s sporting capital in the heart of the Tyrolean Alps and offers the perfect combination of traditional and modern culture, with some seriously spectacular scenery. The stylish Q! Hotel Maria Theresia boasts contemporary interiors, a luxe spa and close proximity to the boutiques and restaurants that line the town center.
Kitzbühel is best known as an elite ski destination but it shouldn’t be overlooked during the milder months – you can spend action-packed days mountain biking, swimming, playing tennis or hiking in the beautiful mountains and forests. The nearby Kitzbühel-Schwarzsee-Reith golf course is the best in the area, and there are three other clubs within easy reach if you want the luxury of choice.

Great lobby.....not so great bed!

We stayed here with a tour group and were really impressed by the hotel's alpine charm when we arrived. The lobby and lounge area were lovely and the mosaic of Maria Theresia was beautiful. Our room, which overlooked the front road, was roomy but surprisingly noisy for such a small town. We could also hear noise from the lounge in the lobby. The bed and bedding weren't comfortable at all. In fact, the bed frame creaked horribly whenever we moved. We were afraid that one of the slats was broken. Breakfast was good and the staff was friendly.

Alpine Charm

Spacious room with balcony provided a pleasant stay. Lovely lobby and restaurant in a great location. We especially liked the hand painted ceiling and wood paneling in the room. The views were spectacular.
