Most compassionate staff ever!
Reviewed 3 weeks ago

My visit intention was to be as close to Baptist hospital as possible. I stayed at the Dadeland Aloft for a total of 2 weeks! My sweet Mom-Aunt was very sick and I wanted to spend as much time with her as possible. The hotel is literally a 5 minute drive! The staff was the absolute best! Every day and every evening their special staff took the time to see how I was holding up. They were there for me to chat and cry as I went thru the transition of loosing my sweet Auntie! Charlie the bartender was always there to give me a very heartfelt hug every evening. He listened and comforted me like a family member. Betty and Marilu at the front desk were absolute sweethearts. They were always so concerned about how I was doing. They went out of their way to make sure I was ok. I truly appreciate how the staff made me feel and even though I was alone for most of my stay, I felt I had people around me that truly cared for me! Thank you and I will never forget you!

Very friendly staff. Clean spacious rooms with easy access elevators. Convenient location with shops within walking distance. (i didn't rent a car). Nice common area for working if needed. Bar on the premises was great too.

Better than expected!

Usually stay here for business trips, its a quiet hotel and conveniently central. The hotel itself is very clean, the staff is very friendly and helpful. The two nights I stayed the bartender Charlie was amazing, defintely makes a big difference having an amazing cocktail and a great bartender to go with it after a long day of work. Will definitely be back!

Excellent Southern Hospitality for a “

Solo business night (one night)... I expected a fairly modern, value-fair, clean room. They certainly delivered on that, but went above and beyond with very cheerful (approachable) GOOD live music in the evening bar/morning sitting area. The bar tender (Charlie) was kind, attentive responsible for all, and kept a good eye on everything. It’s a gentle group that anyone would feel welcome just sitting and chatting with. Room was just as anticipated, nice morning view of the city and sunrise. (If you don’t want “accessible”, you may want the mention it when reserving.). Lovely stay! I’ll be back. Great WI-FI, too.

Nice, comfortable hotel

This small hotel is very well positioned across from a Starbucks, Grill Argentino, TJMax, UPS, Don Pan, etc and 5 minutes down the road is Dadeland Mall.

In general it’s clean and staff is pleasant and helpful. It’s a pet friendly hotel (certain floors only). The rooms are spacious (recently updated) and bathrooms are modern. There is a small pool with a very pleasant and relaxing deck with loungers and tables and chairs. In the lobby there is a bar and a snack area.

Our floor (3) was quiet except for a couple of occasions when people slammed their room doors and there was also a yappy dog in one of the rooms, which was odd as floor number 3 is supposed to be pet free.

The beds were comfortable and they double sheeted the bedspread which is a brilliant and hygienic idea. Towels were clean and plentiful, there was free toiletries and two free small bottles of water daily. TV was large.

Parking was charged at the rate of $14 per day. We mentioned that we were in Miami for medical reasons and they waived the parking charge.

One experience we had was when we sat by the pool and ordered two mojitos from the bar. When the bill came they had added an 18% tip charge. When we questioned it the bartender said that was their policy. The mojitos cost us $28 ($14 ea) and the auto tip was just over $5! We brought this to the attention of the front desk and don’t know if policy changed as we never passed back for another drink. It’s in the customers interest to pick up their own drink at the bar.

Another dubious experience was when we returned to our room one day I could not find my laptop computer or the remote control for the TV. After much searching I found them under the sheets of my bed which had been made up that afternoon. Very odd to hide stuff under the sheets! You could even tell they were under there!

Our room cost us $109 before tax. I would recommend this hotel.
