How to Get There
Me and my family were looking for a cruise one summer but we were on a budget so went with celebration cruise lines bahamas celebration that left from port of palm beach to freeport spend 3 nights at a hotel and then your on your way back so we left at 1:00 PM and arrived to the ship around 3:00 and loaded the car into the ship went through customs got our card and then boarded the boat it was very nice the lobby was spacious with 2 glass elevators a model of the ship then we got my room wich had a little tv that had like 4 channels on it a private bathroom 2 beds 2 bunkbeds a window with sadly no curtains a desk a mirror a room service menu then we went to the top deck and watched us sail away I also got to swim in a small pool and I messed around in the water park with a waterslide wich was pretty fun then arrived in freeport stayed at the grand lucayan resort and rode the ship back the whole vacation was awesome!!!
I am sorry to say but we will never be returning here. The rooms and food were absolutely horrible for the amount we paid. Some of the staff were amazing but then we had some very rude and cold encounters. It was like they didn’t want us to order food or do anything extra that would be more work for them.
On top of it all we had the worst experience with charter tour services. Their booth is set up by the elevator and Lynn got into a full blown argument with me and another member of our family. We had done the bon fire excursion and it was the worst experience for a family with kids, when I tried to explain that to Lynn she dismissed us and told us it was not her fault we didn’t go back for more food and everything advertised wasn’t provided. Then she proceeded to state she wasn’t being rude. When I asked for a manager she said “go ahead I don’t work for this hotel”. I was completely blown away at the disrespect and horrible customer service. When I tried to let the resort front staff know they said they aren’t actually affiliated with the tour service even though charter tour services are recruiting their customers on their property. They tried to get me in touch with Lynn’s boss who of course wasn’t available and said she would call my room back. Which also never happened.
We can get so much more for our money with amazing staff and an incredible resort in Mexico.
We were there for my sister’s wedding (the woman who helped with that was down right the best (Lisa) and I would rate our experience with her a 5, she was the best!)
Lovely low-key resort on private beach with infinity pool and well-kept property. Our room was very spacious and comfortable. It's just a few minutes walk to Port Lucaya Marketplace with shops and plenty of restaurants and bars to try out, so don't buy into an all-inclusive plan at the hotel where there are only a couple of restaurants. It is also next to UNEXSO where you can do excursions to swim with dolphins or dive with sharks. We were there in May when it was not crowded and weather was perfect, so it was very relaxing on the beach and by the pool. Would definitely stay at this property again.
