Overview

A five-star beach hotel in Halkidiki, with breakfast, dinner, a 30-minute massage and a spa discount

The Lowdown

For a break from Greece’s popular islands, you’ll find the same turquoise waters of the Aegean and sandy beaches in the jutting peninsula where Halkidiki makes its home. While this is northern Greece’s most popular resort, you won’t have to compete with quite as many tourists here to admire the impressive scenery. Head to the five-star Olympion Sunset hotel and you can even admire the views in private on your guestroom’s terrace.
It’s not just the guestrooms that make the most of the hotel’s Fourka beach location, a new roof garden as well as beachfront deck complement the Greek dishes and cocktails with pool, sea and sunset views. The gourmet international dishes at lunch and breakfast are well worth getting up for too. There’s also a wellness centre comprising a sauna, steam bath and Jacuzzi to complete the relaxation here.

Very low food quality at dinners compairing with last year, Inside the rooms the wifi is the worst ever, totally useless! Some of the staff at the pool bar-restaurant are very rude and irresponsible!Russian employers whose dont like greek customers!!!Prices at cafe -restaurant are very very expensive! I have paid for 36 days left for July and August 2019 and things are much worse! Many children, noisy all time around, good staff reduced and for me is my last vacation at this hotelRooms are quite comfortable, front sea place, cleaning rooms and common places.Very small and dusty parking over road !Ilias, yuli, vasilis Jane and Simos are very friendly, kind ,responsible and ready to offer great services! Thanks guys for your frienship

As soon as we arrived the staff went out of their way to ensure our stay was enjoyable, not a massive hotel so everything was very personal and the staff soon greeted you by name.

We chose this hotel because of its smaller size, sea front location and that there was a spa. The latter was excellent, operated by a company Hotel Wellness Spa Services, from well appointed rooms in part of the hotel and run by Maria and Voula, both of whom were both very professional. A range of treatments were available at reasonable prices.

Swimming pool was excellent, lovely and clean, splash pool for kids and a jacuzzi area within the pool. There were always plenty of sun beds available both by the pool and at the beach. The pool was open from 10:00 to 19:00 as it was manned by a professional lifeguard who gave out beach towels as required.

We were on half board and ate every day at lunchtime in the beachfront restaurant. Portion sizes were very large so we almost always shared one meal between the two of us.

For breakfast and the evening meal the food was first-rate, always something to suit everyone. The food was served buffet style with plenty of choice. Even though we generally ate later in the evening because the food was put out in small serving dishes and continuously refreshed it was always freshly prepared.

We had a room ovelooking the pool which was one of the largest holiday hotel rooms we have ever had. Room carefully cleaned, beds made every day and towels, sheets etc. changed regularly. Fridge to keep drinks cold and safe to keep valuables secure. Air conditioning worked well and was not noisy or obtrusive. Flat screen TV with good picture and also a very large bath which was most welcome after a days sun bathing and swimming.

Wifi was excellent, no drop outs and very fast. I had to work for 4 days and I could easily have been in my office in the UK, the response was so good.

Great effort was made to keep the whole place spotlessly clean. In the morning cleaners were diligent in cleaning the pool area and all public spaces. The poperty itsefl was well maintained.

Olympion sunset hotel &spa is a wonderful place, with an incredible sunset. If you want to relax from a big city life, you need to choose this hotel, with the delicious Mediterranean cuisine, and ofcourse, your children will be pleased with its menus. The hotels staff is very attentive, friendly and always helpful together with a very attentive Owner. My daughter and I, felt in love with Adria, its a very funny dog. I hope, we will return to this hotel again!!
