How to Get There
I've stayed at this hotel several times in the past, and will continue to do so. I alternate between Le Meridien and the Westin Buckhead, and lately, I lean more towards this property. On check in, both televisions were on and tuned to the welcome channel, but neither remote control worked. I couldn't turn them off initially, until I found the power buttons. Instead of dealing with housekeeping, I purchased 4 AA batteries and replaced them myself when I returned from an errand. Not a huge deal, but it should have been noted by housekeeping. My other issue also involved housekeeping. As a gold member, I have a standard 2 p.m. checkout, which the hotel honored. At 10 a.m. the morning of checkout, housekeeping knocked on the door to ask when I was leaving. Fortunately, I was already awake or I would have been irritated. You would think they would have a list of who had requested a late checkout and not disturb them until after that time had passed. Still, nothing that would prevent me from staying here again. They just need to tighten up their controls.
I stayed here as part on the Marriott program as they recently came over from the Starwood hotels group.
The hotel is European style not American. Even the front desk staff runs this like a European hotel. Slow to check in and not personable.
I am in the top of the Marriott program at lifetime titanium and I was not treated as such as I can expect from a Marriott property.
Don’t know if it is just this property or the chain but if your a Marriott rewards member think twice before you stay here.
We really enjoyed our whole experience Paris at the front desk suggested that I try the Shrimp Salad, The salad was so Beautiful, I hate I had to eat it! Chris the server in Portico provided excellent service!
I stayed at the Le Meridien for buisness. Moises suggested that I visit the Happy Hour and I am glad I did! Chris makes the best drinks! Such a great environment for conversation and cocktails. Will definitely visit again!
The lobby was absolutely beautiful and the rooms were par excellent. I noticed the flowers throughout the hotel and the service was A++++ in all areas. Paris and Jordan are to be commended on the great service as well. Leah pressed the elevator button for me and suggested I go to the SCAD museum for an art exhibition in which I enjoyed! Thank you for raising the bar in the hotel industry.
