How to Get There
This hotel is poor in terms of the rooms. My family of 4 stayed for 9 nights in this hotel, in a room that was infested with cockroaches. They was coming out of the holes in the walls, skirting boards and plug holes. This happened repeatedly throughout our stay. There was even one found in our clothes draw. We also had baby cockroaches, and therefore must have been breeding in the room. I asked to move rooms on two occasions and was told they had no other accommodation available . The man on reception is rude, and arrogant, and just does not care. We asked him if he slept in his family home with Cockroaches, in which of course he replied no !
These rooms need shutting down and refurbishing.
The reviews seem good on here, however if you type Cockroaches in the search box there are lots of stories. Never in my life have i been afraid to go to sleep on my holiday .
On the plus side. The pool and reception area is nice and clean, however the rooms desperately need refurbishing and air-con added as the heat is ridiculous. The heat in the rooms was that bad, it was torcher getting ready in the evenings.
Very clean apartment. We had a really good view of both the pool area and the sea. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the entertainment gut was very good and got lots of people involved in the daytime activities. Would definitely recommend this hotel
Things I Wish I Knew Before Booking:
1. The studios have sofa beds only.
2. There's a €300 deposit upon arrival.
I slept well, got my deposit back and do recommend this hotel. I'm just mentioning it as it wasn't on Expedia and I'd have liked to know before booking.
STAFF: So lovely! We arrived a few hours before check in and they said it wasn't a problem. Our room was ready within 20 minutes. They were helpful with calling taxis and helping us book activities. Shout out to Pat on reception.
ROOM: We were in 11 so we got a nice view of the pool from our balcony, with the ocean in the background. We got sun in the evenings and were lucky enough to catch a firework display one night.
Overall the apartment was modern, perfectly clean and nicely decorated.
The kitchen was very well equipped, had everything you could need.
The shower was great but be warned that it spills onto the floor a lot.
No air conditioning so it was quite stuffy when we returned in the evenings but grand after a few minutes with the door open, and the fan was right over the bed so I slept well.
There were a few cosmetic things (hole in the curtain, tears in sofa cover etc) that I wouldn't normally care about at all but made me slightly nervous because of the deposit. I had nothing to worry about though.
One of our deckchairs broke and caused us to smash some plates. We cleaned it up and went down to reception. Pat was so nice, he apologised, sent a new one up right away and laughed when I asked if it would come out of my deposit.
Safe was €15 for the week.
POOL AREA & ACTIVITIES: Perfect! The whole area was pristine, the pool temperature was perfect, plenty of sunbeds and parasols. Unfortunately the jacuzzi was out of order. Lots of free events like cocktail shows, aqua aerobics etc. Great pool bar with chilled out music and happy hour twice a day.
We went in September so there weren't many kids around but there was a kiddie pool, small playground and discos for the wee ones.
Evening entertainment included music, quizzes and a parrot show.
LOCATION: People have mentioned the steep hill but it's not really a concern unless you have mobility issues. We didn't bother with the free buses. Only a 10 minute walk to the beach and you're close to a shopping centre with a supermarket. Great selection of bars, restaurants and activities in the area. You're close to Siam park too, only €7 for a taxi.
FOOD: Only tried the restaurant once and my spaghetti was OK. My partner ordered the ribs and it was so bad, it the first time he ever sent food back.
Lunch in the pool bar was lovely though and there's a bakery plus a mini supermarket on site so you can get fresh pastries for breakfast.
Overall I really enjoyed my stay, I'd recommend it! :)
