Lovely property

Staff - smiling and helpful
Real estate - nice organized property, surrounded by incredibly lush greenery.
ID - not at all in connection with the surrounding, therefore a little too blunt. Furthermore the rooms need a little more maintenance
F&B - good diversity, very fresh, great combination of ingredients, excellent taste
cleanliness - rooms are cleaned perfectly by the housekeeping staff. However one little comment would be that bed linen should be crispy white especially in a completely white rooms.

The hotel property was awesome. Great jungle feel. Lots of activities. Breakfast was great. Rooms were clean. Could not ask for more! Wish they had bikes to rent for free. We ended up renting it for $10/day from a local vendor

Perfect Location, on the beach

Puerto Viejo is out of the way for most tourism. It took 5-6 hours to get there from San Jose. We wanted that. We stayed at the Cameleon. Located two miles from city center, it is on the beach. The rooms were well appointed, with fine beds and amenities.
The hotel needed a maintenance upgrade. The air conditioning settings could not be changed, even though the thermostat provided for adjustment. The sinks and shower needed minor repair.
The restaurant was very good, near the beach. There was also a pool big enough for laps. The private beach was mainly in the shade, but there was plenty of sun if desired. The shore was very shallow so we could walk out a long way to meet the waves and body surf.
I would come back here again.

Excellent, excellent, excellent in all respects

Excellent service from friendly, professional people. Outstanding setting, enjoyed the decor - noted that they changed picture colors & pillows daily. Beautiful beach, food was excellent also. Would go back in a heartbeat for rest and relaxation among great people in great environment.
