NOT 5*

Where do I start?

Firstly the room had paint peeling from its walls! Is that acceptable?

Water your given 2 bottles in your room which are warm! If you want more you have have you pay, I wouldn’t mind if it was a decent brand of water they give you local water bottles up!

The mattresses are like sleeping on the floor, the so called manager came but didn’t resolve anything he just got a new mattress topper put on the bed!

DONT ORDER ANY FOOD FROM ROOM SERVICE YOU WILL GET SICK, warm fruit and I’ll leave it there hope you get the gist!!

A great dining experience

We had dinner at the restaurant at twin palms & had a delightful meal. They have a mixture of local Thai fare plus western style food. The restaurant has a modern feel the staff delightful and the food first class. A lovely dining experience

Excellent Staff, Excellent food!

We stayed at twin palms for 5 nights for the start of our honeymoon and stayed in a Penthouse room. Our butler was Pek and she was very helpful throughout our stay.

The room itself was flawless, very clean and very stylish. We loved the breakfast daily and did the Sunday Brunch which is a must if your stay goes over that day of the week. It seemed to be a destination from not only guests at the hotel, so be sure to book and be sure to go hungry! Restaurant manager deserves credit - she was very friendly and very attentive.

We spent a lot of the time in our spacious private pool area, which was fantastic. So why not 5 stars? The logistics of the different areas of the 'resort' are a little bit too much to stretch a full 5 stars. I would give 4.5 stars if I could. I would encourage people who stay at the resort to explore the different locations the shuttle buses go to. Honestly although it is on the website, it wasn't quite apparent to us that there were 3 other locations available to guests. The beach clubs were cool to visit, and the Palm Seaside restaurant made amazing food.

Our issue was literally just a case of twice being bitten by the lack of regular shuttles, and an inconsistent schedule for them. We got stuck at the catch beach club for nearly an extra hour than we planned as the schedule is not regular and changes cadence. Then we effectively got stuck at the palm seaside restaurant, which wasn't too far so we walked. Genuinely am not majorly upset about this, it just seems like these shuttles should run constantly and guests should be easily able to move between locations vs have to wait an hour at a time - it literally is a 5-10 minute drive max between each of the locations.

Loved our time here, don't want to sound like a complainer - we will go back!

Nice Boutique hotel with friendly staff and good location

I have stayed at twin palms for 3 nights . We were staying at Pullman Arcadia In Naithon Beach previously. The hotel is nice but I will point out all the flaws because it’s a 5 star property and certainly not cheap, so it should pass extra scrutiny.

-The hotel staff are by far excellent at customer service . They are so friendly , respectful and attentive that you feel like your staying at a 6 star hotel in Dubai. I was especially pleased by the front desk staff, I have good daily conversations with them and can’t say enough how excellent their service was.
-rooms are very clean and well kept.
-Location is very central, only 25 minutes drive to Patong beach and shops.
-hotel grounds are well kept and clean.
-nice beach club which hotel shuttle takes you to where you can enjoy lunch, drinks, music and lying down by the beach on beach beds.
-shuttle to palm seaside seafood restaurant, very good seafood! Great views too.
-nice pool and great hotel appearance.
-Surin beach very clean and lots of activities to do, we loved it.

Negatives and Improvements required:

-the bed are by far one of the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept on, it was like sleeping on concrete, and hotel advised us that we are not the first to say this, and provided us with a mattress pillow top, improved significantly but not perfect.
-breakfast is good, but very limited and subpar when considering it is about $25 per person/night. There is not a lot of variety.
-bathrooms and shower have completely see thru glass to outside which is huge privacy concern as it doesnt make you feel comfortable when showering.(see photos below)
-no door for toilet, kind of a nuisance.
-hotel grounds are extremely slippery when wet because of the marble/stone they have used and i personally slipped 3-4 times on it when it was wet, a big liability that really needs to be addressed.
-hotel is not gated and they let people come in the grounds and there were some really shady figures that were using the pool bar waiting for their “employees” to be done (you can imagine what im talking about)
-had a few instances were staff just barged in the room even though i asked them to wait outside and my partner was not properly dressed, it happened more than once, staff should be instructed not to enter rooms without permission.
-room temperature doesnt stay constant, the thermostats dont work that well and its hard to have a goodnight sleep when the temperature doesnt stay constant.
-rooms are not noise isolated very well, we could hear the tv and crying baby of the next door guests, also when it rained, the sound of the water pouring down outside was very loud in the room, you almost felt like the shower is left on.

Final Verdict:

It is a nice hotel with no doubt, but there are lots of design flaws that really affected our nigh sleep. I would definitely return back here because the service and location and proximity to Surin beach was really nice, but it also depends on the rate. We got the basic room at a special via the hotel for around $210 aud and i definitely think it is worth it for that much, but i would not be happy staying here with the problems it has if the rate was $300+ aud.

Very nice dinner buffet
Reviewed 7 days ago

Try this hotel for a nice and very plentiful dinner buffet. Its a bit pricey, but worth all the money spent. Its recommended to make a reservation as the place gets very busy especially during the high season. There is nothing missing from this buffet and the deserts are great as well. Highly recommended.
