What We Love

  • The service: Friendly without being overly familiar, and genuinely patient; it’s the famous Thai hospitality on full display
  • Great Thai and international offerings at casual Market Place restaurant
  • The spa: An affordable and wide-ranging spa menu, with everything from scrubs and body wraps to massages and facials of all stripes
  • At the resort’s heart is an enormous free-form pool
  • Central location means you don’t have to worry about a stressful or lengthy drive to/from the airport or into Phuket town

What To Know

  • This is primarily a family and honeymooners resort; those seeking solitude or silence will get annoyed
  • The grounds are extensive, and the property is mostly open-air, so if you have problems walking or need wall-to-wall air conditioning, this isn’t the place for you
  • Phuket isn’t Maui: There’s no luxury shopping here, and no glitz (which is central to its charm)
  • Pack the bug spray. Phuket, like all tropical islands, can be buggy, and the resort does sit atop a lagoon

Sublime stay at Angsana Phuket
Reviewed 1 day ago

One of the very best family holidays I have ever had, and certainly one of the most memorable.

The team at Angsana made our stay from beginning to end a real delight ... both teenage children, my wife and I could not have had a better experience.

From the wonderful warm welcome by the GM Mr Zitek to the boxing lessons with Daniel and his amazing recreation team and the sumptuous meals at the Thai restaurant ... we only have great things to say about the holiday.

This hotel is perfect for both couples and families alike - it's big enough to find beautiful secluded spots if peace is what you are after. The sea water was unbelievably warm and the very large hotel pool was amazing - totally unique in my experience, snaking its way through tropical gardens.

The local town - 2km away - has an amazing mix of brilliant restaurants and wonderful spas - that we went to every night.

The only part we didn’t enjoy was leaving, but we will be back very soon!

In summary - a dream holiday in every way - thank you Angsana for making it so special.

The villa seems old and tired! Needs to be upgraded! The rest of the facility is well maintained and good! The Spa treatment was very relaxing. The food and beverage staff are very friendly and helpful. The lady assigned to our Villa was fantastic, with attention to detail. She was also very helpful, always smiling.

A New Broom!

Having stayed here since the opening some 26 years ago & experienced the “ good old days “ & sadly, some “not good old days” I felt I wanted to express my thanks to the owners for appointing the new GM.

Khun Michal has been in the job for about one year & together with his team has begun the job of restoring this hotel to its “glory days”.

Upon our return this November we have noticed significant improvements within the grounds, common parts, gardens & on the beach. This has been long overdue & given the size of the hotel is a major task.

Having made such progress in such a short time, I feel confident that given more time & the resources Khun Michal is the right man for the job.

From the moment you arrive at the entrance to the hotel & greeted by the bell boys you feel you have entered paradise. The staff are always on hand should you have any questions or need advice.

The selection & quality of the food in all restaurants has also improved There are evenings in the restaurants where different cuisines are available apart from the Al la Carte menu.

The recreation team within the hotel offer daily events & there is a well equipped gym. For those who like the water there are kayaks & canoes for guests to go around the lagoon. In addition there are various other activities arranged by the hotel on a daily basis, a great gym & tennis, golf available.

The swimming pool is some 300 metres in length & about 1.4/5 meters deep which allows those who are non swimmers, the opportunity to walk safely.

Whether you are a couple, a family or just on your own this hotel has something for everybody & is well worth staying at.

friendly and helpfull staff; Eurasian buffet in the Market Place Restaurant (on Nov 27th) was poor, only limited variations which looked like they have been cooked already for quite some time. Therefore decided for the Bodega restaurant on that particular day. Surprise on day of departure, because additional not known charges of Laguna Phuket facilities (THB 60) + Green Imperative Fund (THB30) were added to the invoice without prior information.

Back for our anniversary!
Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Was recently back to celebrate our wedding anniversary, back to the place where it all started. Must say the experience we had so far was surreal. When we decided to go back, we contacted our event manager - Ann, and she was delighted for having us again. Our stay there was amazing, she arranged a great room for us and also always checked on us to make sure everything’s fine. The rooms were great, and service was great throughout. Have to thank all the staff working at angsana too and making us feel right at home.
Ann even made arrangements for us to be back at the chapel to take pictures!
Me and my wife totally enjoyed our stay there, and will be back to stay at Angsana if we are back in Phuket!
Thank you Ann and all, for making our stay such an enjoyable one!
