How to Get There
The hotel was modern, clean, and a very short walk from the train station. My elderly mother and I were also able to walk nearby to restaurants and a mall for souvenir shopping. It's also a short walk to Cardiff Castle.
When we were there, the hotel was very busy (a Saturday night) with people celebrating events (bachelorette parties, birthdays). But everyone was pleasant and our room was quiet. We enjoyed a drink in the hotel bar Saturday afternoon, but it was packed by early evening. We also enjoyed their full English breakfast at the breakfast buffet and it was fantastic!
When we checked out Sunday morning, we were able to leave our luggage for the day and grab it on the way back to the train station, which was very helpful.
This proved to be a great venue for an international sales conference. Our overseas visitors loved the central location and it's easily reached by train or by air. Lots to see and do within walking distance and the guest rooms and conference facilities were ideal for our group of about 25. The conference management, restaurant and reception teams were all very helpful and I must give a special mention to Sue, the Meeting & Events Co-ordinator - first class! Thanks for helping to make it a very successful event.
We held our week long European Sales Conference at the hotel last week. From our initial enquiry right through to the conference taking place the service provided by the hotel was first class. The hotels Events Co-ordinator dealt with everything on our behalf and the event ran without a hitch.
All delegates complimented all aspects of the venue, from the meeting facilities, to the bedroom accommodation and the food.
The hotels location is also great for business travelers, just a couple of minutes walk from the train station.
Would highly recommend the hotel for such events, it is also very reasonably priced.
I have been staying here regularly for business and the staff are brilliant.
Front desk- no wait time- fast, polite, responsive and efficient.
Restaurant staff are so welcoming and nothing is too much trouble. Nutica remembers me from previous visits and is so helpful and friendly.
Rooms are very comfortable and clean, fluffy dressing gown and slippers provided too!
We stayed here for one night for a girls weekend in Cardiff. The rooms were clean and comfortable and although we had a view of the train tracks, the double glazing kept the room quiet. Three of us were able to stay in one room, with proper beds (no pull out beds here!). A good selection at Breakfast and very friendly staff. Will definitely be returning to this hotel.
