How to Get There
Stay in oceanview pool villa for a night. Awesome amenities, especially infinity pool.
My wife has wisdom toothache around 2 am. I called the front desk for pain killers. Finn picked out the call. He was sorry that they have no pain killers but promptly drove me to the nearest convenience store. Door to door! Finn asked about the situation along the way and offered to help make dental appointment in the next morning. Excellent hospitality! We will come again.
The Wellness centre/ spa is fantastic. Very professional and a wide range of choices. Massage was excellent and the Hamman was unique. Food at the hotel was good. It is worth mentioning that there is only a very small beach at the bottom of the hotel which can only be used at high tide which is a pity. But overall I can highly recommend the resort and had a wonderful stay.
We booked directly through the hotel. This is our 2nd time visit within one year and from the time we contacted their reservation team, we already feel the warm welcome from Amatara.
Again, we stayed in the Ocean View Pool Villa. The villa size is large enough for us to relax and the view are so wonderful that you will love to sit there every morning to enjoy sunrise.
The Restaurant offer tasty Thai Food for lunch & dinner. It will become perfect if they can offer more choices on breakfast.
The Grill really provide real good grill seafood. We missed their grill lobster and the catch of the day is so fresh and yummy.
The Spa is at reasonable price and their massage skill is good however you have to make sure you booked in advance as they are quite fully booked.
Their operation team do provide assistance on our needs as soon as they can. For example, on our first night (mid night) we discover that one of the toilet (the villa has 2) has flushing issue which is terrible experience. We reported in next day morning and they immediately arranged fixing and completely solved the issue before we have finished our breakfast.
I would recommend some improvements on hardware like air-condition system in villa & in both restaurants as they seems not working so well. The interior of the limo are a bit dated.
Overall experience still score a high rate so definitely we will come again.
Extraordinary service and staffs.
Beautiful landscape and views
My husband was sick in bed cause of traveler's diarrhea.
The nurse in hotel came to see him and the medicine she gave was big help.
What to say about this little bubble of paradise? Amatara is truly one of the best resorts my husband and I have ever stayed at and we are already counting down until we revisit.
From the moment of arrival, the staff could not have been better. Welcoming us with a delicious tea and cold towel, the introduction and talk about the facilities was second to none.
We stayed in an ocean pool villa for the special occasion that was my 30th birthday and both my husband and I were astounded at how beautiful the place was, the layout, the comfort, the space. It was above and beyond what the pictures had promised.
On our first nice we tried out The Grill restaurant, the little touches between courses were fantastic and again the staff couldn’t do enough for you.
Breakfasts were again fantastic and had a real range of food, we both left wishing we could have eaten everything they had to offer but our stomachs just wouldn’t allow! The resort offers an egg station, continental breakfast options, full English, fruit, eggs benedict, pastries as well as a host of Thai and Asian dishes. They also have two great coffee machines that serve up a delicious latte/cappuccino which is rare to find in this part of the world!
As part of the Ocean Pool Villa experience we were invited to enjoy a free cocktail every evening at the Sun and Moon bar, the weather wasn’t great for our trip so we only had one beautiful sunset but still a great experience.
On my birthday itself we were treated to afternoon tea which was a range of pastries cookies and quiches. Mid way through the tea all of the reception staff came singing with a beautiful cake and finished our afternoon tea off to perfection.
We tried out the gym a few times and were very impressed at the facilities and machines and equipment that were there. Not just that but there was always a member of staff on hand to help, always clean towels and cold water aplenty! The paddle boards and kayaks were also great fun and very easy to hire out.
If there was one flaw to Amatara it would be that there was not much going on in the hotels in the evenings however we visited during low season and this might be completely different when the hotel gets busier.
All in all the trip, the staff, the resort, the cleanliness... perfection.
Thankyou Amatara and everybody there.
