Annual Family Stay
Reviewed 3 days ago

I'm hesitant to write this review because I like to think of The Lark as our own little special place. Even though I wish it were a better kept secret, it's apparent that this is a popular place due to their new expansion, which, I must say, is fabulous. The attention to detail is one of the things that makes The Lark so unique - great patio and lobbies for reading, people watching or just plain relaxing? Check. Yummy bath products? Check. Cool décor? Check. Yeah, it's a hipster-ish place (not that there's anything wrong with that!) and our family favorite. And they have a new coffee bar in the expansion which is pretty cool too. We love it so much that it is an integral part of our annual Montana visit. Hey Lark - see you in 2019!

HIP, FUN, WONDERFUL!!!
Reviewed 4 days ago

All checked in, the friendly and helpful staff parked my car, got my "The Lark" Field Guide, and I was off by starting to explore the hotel area and the very HIP downtown of Bozeman!

When asked where to eat the hotel staff replied, "There are no bad places to eat around here"! Rice, Plunk, Ted's Montana Grill, Blackbird, Western Cafe, all offer a variety of delicious choices.

Then after your meal wonder down just a few blocks away to the RIATA and enjoy drinks, concerts, or entertainment. We got to see the amazing and delightful I'm With Her Band. If you get after it you can see Michael Martin Murphy who they will be hosting soon.

Walk back to your room with the best sheets, blankets, and pillows ever and a shower to "die for" my son said. Every little detail appointed with thought and style. But wait.. before you do - grab some ice cream and sit outside by the fireplace and enjoy the Montana mountain air and enjoy meeting new people with the same idea.

Paper Walls but Friendly Staff
Reviewed 4 days ago

Stayed here while driving cross country and I want impressed. It wasn’t the room- that was amazing! So clean and very fun and modern decor! However... the walls were paper thin. People talking outside the door sounded like they were in the room. Cars driving down the road were loud. I was woken up multiple times by trucks going down the road or people in other rooms.
For the price I found this unacceptable. We paid $220 for the night and I am very unimpressed. Maybe for $100 it would have been fine.

Great Hotel

What a lovely hotel, with courteous staff and a convenient location. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted in such a friendly manner, and immediately felt comfortable. The room was hip and decorated in med-century style, as is the entire hotel. It is located right on Main Street, downtown, and I was able to walk everywhere. Annika and Collette were especially helpful and provided me with recommendations for places to eat and places to hike. Would love to come back and visit again!

Disappointing

The hotel is a refurbished Motel 6; while the location is excellent and the facelift nicely done, it is still a very overpriced Motel 6. Small, very noisy rooms; no parking; no breakfast; no closets or ironing equipment. Too bad such a great location can’t offer a better guest experience.
