We recently stayed at this property from 8th - 11th March 2019 with my wife and 5 years old daughter. Luxury starts the moment you arrive at Male Airport. The dedicated team guides you to the Jumeirah Vittaveli Arrival Lounge where refreshments are served while waiting for the high speed ferry. They have one of the smoothest and luxurious speedboat I have experienced with onboard wifi. As we arrived at the resort, the resort staff were standing to welcome us in a traditional Maldivian style welcome with Garland and a glass of sparkling wine. Now the best part comes as the resort knew that it was my birthday on the 9th and my child needs an extra bed, to my surprise we were upgraded to 2 bedroom sunrise villa which made my little one so excited having her own bedroom, tv, bathroom and a wardrode. Excellent food be it Maldivian, Indian, Chinese and so on at the Samsara Restaurant which has a lavish variety of Breakfast and dinner buffet.Kids under 6 years can eat complimentary from the kids menu anytime of the day. The Kudo Kids club made my daughter's day. A very special Thanks to Indian chefs, Mr. Kaushik and Mr. Jayakumar for pampering us with their tasty Indian dishes. Stellan and Natalia for a showaround of the whole resort and taking good care of us and last but not least, Mr. Sourav Chakravrty and his team. Cheers to you all !!!

Really bad service!

We stayed five nights and we were there for a bday celebration. This is definitely not a 5 star resort. We assumed because it had the Jumeirah name it would be amazing and the service would be impeccable. Not at all. I’m not even sure where to begin. Let me start with the service. Slow....very slow. It takes 40 minutes for a kids meal to come. You have to pre-order or plan ahead. Even drinks at the bar B4R takes very long. I am not even talking about cocktails I’m talking about a glass of wine. My husband was trying to get a few documents printed it took them 24 hours to print and he only received the documents when we were boarding the boat to fly back home. Our host Aziza we saw the day we arrived and the day we left. We hardly saw her during our stay there. She never came by to say hello she never asked us if we needed anything. There were no complimentary beach bags in the rooms. When we asked her about it she told us they had run out??!! Seriously??!! Forget about ordering anything a la carte at breakfast it just takes too long.

Let me just say that this is not our first time in the Maldives we were at JA Manafaru in December. The service was much better there!

My son (11) was at the kids club and he came back to the villa bleeding. When I called the kids club they had no idea he had gotten hurt. They said my nanny who is watching my 2 yr old should be watching him. It is their responsibility to keep an eye on the kids there.

It just seemed they were really short staffed. The golf cart would take forever to come for pickups. The bikes were in really bad shape and they didn’t have a bike for my 11 yr old. Honestly it felt like the staff were on vacation mode.

Shout out to Hassan, Mo, Manoj and Valentina. They were excellent!

Have stayed at the Ja Manafaru Hotel and the Conrad; both were much better properties and excellent service received at those Hotels. The place lacked the personal touch and the service used to a 5 star property especially in the Maldives. Hopefully with the recent addition of new staff the resort can improve.
