How to Get There
execellent, very nice indian veg food, always smiling faces od employees, always helping, never say no to any request, they also showed us beach suite, baghi was always on time, luggage pick up and drop at the airprot was also good
I stayed dying August 2018 with my wife at the Jumeirah Vittaveli resort. We stayed in an amazing water villa with a private pool and a view to the sunrise. The accommodation is great and the villa is of a beautiful standard. the resort is quite small compared to other resorts (we have stayed at the shangri la before which was much bigger and had better service).
There are some members of the team at the resort who are great, Imad at sansara is a blessing for them, Manoj also always checks in to make sure things are going well. The whole team around the communal pool are great and there are members of mu grill and fenesse who do an exceptional job. What really let me down was the hostess assigned to our stay, Lark - we saw her on the first day of arrival and never again. She literally disappeared, more concerned with other guests and always making herself seem busy but never really taking the time to check in on us. It was a completely different experience compared to the shangri la. The water sports are good but over priced, the private lunch on the sand bank is 1200 dollars BEFORE considering food costs which is a bit over the top.
Some of the facilities in the villa were a bit shoddy, the toilet kept blocking simply with a bit of toilet paper - three times during a 5 day stay!
What makes this get 1 star out of 5 is that upon my complaints the manager promised me and my wife a complimentary 2 night stay in the future and that he would email me with the details - it has been 4 months now and I’ve never seen an email from him or a response - very sad and a disgrace to the Jumeirah name
Overall I won’t stay at the resort again and would recommend others to look at alternative resorts for your special trip to the Maldives
From the moment we arrived the whole management made this a special week. We were collected from the airport in a private yacht and on arrival at the Island we were upgraded to a two bedroomed villa. This was incredible. It seemed like everyone on the island knew it was my birthday and i must have been congratulated at least 30 times. Its was very special in deed. At breakfast on my birthday a special table was set and it seemed like the whole restaurant sand happy birthday in English and Maldivian. The whole stay was like this from start to finish. The staff are incredible and a real credit to Jumeriah. Champagne was delivered complimentary on numerous times to the room and birthday gifts and cake. I cant say enough what a wonderful island this is and whats makes it stand way above anything else I have been to before are the staff. Total class and nothing is too much trouble.
Jumeirah resort is excellent choice in Maldives , the villas are simply amazing , big , clean and well maintained, it comes with big private pool ( probably the biggest private pool in maldives resorts) , the beach is very clean with clear water, good chance to find coral reefs in short distance , and great deal of privacy.
The food is amazing, kids club is excellent
Staff are friendly ,
Up to my knowledge they offer 3 main types of villas , sunrise beach villa , sunset beach villa and overwater bungalow.
My recommendation is the sunset villa
The only bad thing about this resort is the arrival & departure experience.
In arrival : we wait in the airport more than 1 hour for the boat to arrive to take us to the resort and when it finally arrived it was not the "luxury speedboat " that advertise in their website it was "jalboat" with economy class seats ,
When we arrived to our villa in resort we waited for 45min and have to call them to get our luggages
Departure: this time we got the "luxury speedboat " but the A/C was not working and it was extremely hot for the children especially that there's no window.
I think when you pay +300$ per person for the transportation from airport to the resort , you expect certain level of service or at least what the advertise in their website, when they dont meet these expectations they should apologize and compensate customers.
Maldives + the proffesionalism from Jumeirah is a perfect match.Breakfast is brilliant and dinners is magic in all the restaurants, best of them is the French (we did not try the awardwinning indian)Alot to do more than the relaxation of the vacay, this resort have it all.
