Pretty Good Stay

Overall service at the hotel was good. From my booking our group consisting of 9 persons Ranjit Singh FOM, Ahamed Rafiq,ASSt Director F&B, and Chef Lee left no stone unturned to make our holiday and Birthday Celebration an awesome experience. The location of the hotel is good and right on the beach.

The rooms and toilets need upgrading, as it does not justify the cost compared to some of the other resorts in Penang.

My 2nd visit!! Old hotel with exciting facilities. Room is spacious. Good buffet spread. Centrally located in Batu Feringhi area. The pool was amazing and the view is breathtaking!! Will definitely come again

This was my 18th stay and first for 2 years after a very poor earlier visit. It was nice to see that they are at last in the process of renovating rooms and my room 216 on the 2nd floor was very acceptable. I noticed that new furnishings have been applied and all other ares cleaned up. I could not fault the room except for one ODD point. The room had new style safety deposit box, BUT this was not bolted down and it could easily have been removed from the room. Positioning of the safe was also in an awkward position and this could have been better placed.
Staff still remain excellent with few exceptions. It was also nice to see that there have been updates made around the grounds with tables and shades improved.
Slow service still with drinks and food in the gardens. My main complaint would be that the pools need to be CLEANED well. Daily there was grit in the pool, and I managed to get a bad ear infection that over a week at home, still worries me.
Breakfast served was good but variety changed very little over a 9 day stay.
Drinks served at Sigi's bar are over priced, and the area has little or no atmosphere at night, hence a lot of guests eat and drink outside the hotel. The lobby bar also has a lack of atmosphere and the only highlight here is that they have a most pleasant staff member in Jelita serving. She is a wonderful member of staff, and has been for many years.
