How to Get There
Just spent a lovely night in Gregans Castle what a lovely experience. Food was
beautiful and staff were so friendly and attentive. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this excellent hotel and would highly recommend it.
Been coming here for atleads 25 years and always very happy with Simon and Staff. Top quality accomodation, comfortable furniture and beds. The food is top of the range, upmarket cruisine. Great location for the Burren and Gallway.
While touring Ireland, our travel agency booked us two nights at this hotel. Imagine our surprise when we drove up and saw what appears to be an abandoned school house instead of a castle. The only positive thing about this place is a beautiful view in front of the property. The rest of the property is grown up and unkempt. The next surprise was when we entered the rooms and there was no televisions in any of the rooms. There's one community TV downstairs in a sitting room. When I asked why the rooms don't have TVs, the lady said,"our guest don't like TVs in their rooms. I informed her that that is the craziest thing I've ever heard. There is a radio in the rooms. The next surprise was when we started to eat in the dining room and realized that the dinner costs 79 euros per person. We have traveled all over Ireland and have eaten at some of the finest restaurants but this hotel charges approximately 425% more than the average price for dinner. I lay awake trying to understand why they're charging so much for such a sub standard hotel. The only thing I can come up with is perhaps they are trying to accumulate some fast money so they can afford to buy some TVs and clean up the property.
