French labor efficiency& productivity becoming a liability to paradise on earth
Reviewed 1 week ago

Due to inadequate labor efficiency & productivity, we had to accept (without explanation) a serious downgrading of our promissed and confirmed accomodation; 1st floor garden view , to 2nd floor parking mini-view . From room 1 to room 11. In addition the room was made available with a solid 2 hour delay. Only at check-out we were provided with the transparency of the situation, and thankfully, thanks to the long -time service, a very kind gesture was made, which will anker the hotel in our memories as indeed SPECIAL.

Nice medieval chateau

we enjoyed our stay very much. our room was in one of the towers of the castle with amazing views and lots of light. they have done a great job in combining the historic setting with certain modern touches. we dined at the restaurant on the premises and had a lovely time, food was nice. breakfast was served in the inner patio

No one cares to get the customers back or what they think!

I have stayed in this hotel with my wife and 2 children 2 times and was planning to stay more as the place itself is quite nice!
BUT - when we left, kids somehow ended up with a key from one of the rooms.
No big deal you might say? Well the hotel charged 250 euro to my card for the lost key. On our asking to send us the bill or justification for such an unreasonable charge, no one replied!

Wonderful stop over
Reviewed 4 weeks ago

This was a nights stop over whilst driving through France and a treat to ourselves to mark the start of the trip. So glad we did! Our room was in the courtyard and was very spacious and the beds were comfortable. The grounds are beautiful and we could pick fresh cherries off the trees in the orchard.

The views across the valley were breathtaking but we were fortunate to have a lovely clear day.

Staff were very welcoming and helpful. We ate in the restaurant which lived up to its rating and the service was excellent too.

What an upgrade!
Reviewed 1 month ago

We were booked into a room in an outbuilding but our travel agent was able to ask them for an upgrade if one were available. You would not believe the huge room we were given in a turret of the original castle. It was a treat to look through the photos of the four years spent (and who knows how much money) to restore this 801 year old building to its current glory. The light in our bathroom came from the thin slits that originally would have been part of the fortifications of the castle. Luckily, they were now protected from the outside with thick glass.
